No offense because I know you're not American and you're just curious. But you really have to stop with "The Sopranos." It's just a television show. Sometimes they got it right, but more frequently they got it wrong. Still a great show, though .

Connected guys tend to be younger and more short-tempered. Plus, they feel they have something to prove. They get into scuffles a lot more frequently than their made guy elders. If someone got killed every time a connected guy got into a fight, there'd be no one left to make. That's what sitdowns are for .

I heard a story of a guy who punched a connected guy in the face at a sporting event. The guy did not really know the guy was connected when he did it.

The guy he hit would have killed him even if he didn't really want to because he was one of those guys who does not let anyone hit him and just walk away.

They both sound psycho to me... WHY even punch a guy in the face in the first place??? are they THAT into their sporting team that they would just walk up to a random guy and punch him in the face?

He asked if there was a set rule about laying hands on a connected guy, and there isn't. Sure, sometimes crazy young guys end up killing each other over everything from money to broads to dope. But there's nothing set in stone about not hitting a guy just because he's on the record with someone. It's understood that you shouldn't do it, but that's about it.

@PB I was under the impression that up-and-comer Paul Gulino "touched" Anthony Spero on the shoulder and it was some sort of violation that Spero could not let slide, so he had the kid killed. That's what I was talking about.

But if I didn't, Spero was a made guy (and a fucking maniac, to boot). Plus, that was a very isolated incident.

@PB I thought he was talking about made guys. And I thought the Spero thing was like, "it's unavoidable NOT to whack this guy out". Didn't know that it was an isolated thing.

I'd be more concerned with hitting on/hitting a woman who's connected. I have known of one girl who was at work and got hit pretty bad by some guy. That guy ended up in the hospital. He left the city after he was released from the ER and county.
