The Twins.. - 12/03/13 02:39 PM

Which of the two gemini twins were considered more volatile or dangerous? Al demeo's book says anthony was worse, if I remember correctly, but murder machine states that anthony was joey's "robot".

how reliable are either book on their accounts? albert talks about getting his corvette ran off the road and then pistol whipped by the twins after his fathers death.

are there anymore sources of information about the twins besides these two books?

The way i see it, Senter probably was the more volatile but at the same time he listented to and followed Joey around and Joey was obviously quite violent himself.

I'd like to see a movie on the whole Demeo crew.

It's just a really stupid, pointless thread. I don't know why people make threads like these. Why would anyone actually know or care who was the tougher one because it doesn't matter, they killed with weapons and were both trained to be very vicious like Roy, not to be tough.

I think you are right and I think Testa was the type of guy who starts a fight and Senter has to come in and finish it. I have also read somewhere in the forum that in prison Testa has acted whimpy

Bigboy, the guy on this forum that said Joey ran naked around the prison yard running for the fence and screaming HELP ME!! was lying.

I hate fucking liars. What good it do for the poster to lie about that unless he had a bad deal with Testa. Asshole !!

by that logic this whole board is pointless. you could take that sentence and apply it to pretty much every person that is the topic of the moment on this board. and for that matter, if its your -opinion- that the thread is pointless...why even reply? why take your time to post something completely irrelevant to the two pronged question that was asked? unless its just post count padding or something. if thats the case, ah salute

Re: The Twins.. - 12/04/13 07:04 PM

According to Dominick Montiglio the only member of the crew (not including Roy himself) that Nino Gaggi had any respect for was Joey Testa.
Anthony may have been a bit more thuggish or tough but Joey was clearly someone who people listened to when he talked and more of a criminal mastermind.

Having said all that, if I was around Brooklyn in the 1970's when these 2 were in their prime I would have steered well clear of either of them!

Well BIGBOY! do you really thing Testa was ripping his hair of and said Help me! while the prison guards gave him a beating? and later ran naked for the fence? you have to use your brain.

Re: The Twins.. - 12/04/13 08:19 PM

I wonder if Testa and Senter are aware of the cult figures they've become? They probably are.

But IMO those 2 are right where they belong...locked up. Fuck'em.

As I see it.
The only purpose the Gemini/ DeMeo Crew served (other than above average earning: car theft, drugs, etc.) was as a Constitution-like check on the threat of John Gotti's crew. They were the "dark side" that Big Paul didn't possess himself. When the beast grew to big for Paul to handle, he couldn't even find anyone willing to whack out Roy and Co. Well… I mean... eventually someone did.

I wonder if Henry Hill knew/met or even heard of the gemini twins or Roy DeMeo, i wonder if Tommy Pitera and Anthony Senter are "friends" both of them are located in the same prison, what do you people think?.

Don't know if HH knew the Gemini twins. Weren't they a few years apart ?? Hill's escapades seemed to be in 50's and early 60's. I think the twins were most active in mid 70's, but who knows. As far as Senter and Pitaro are concerned, I would suspect that they are friends, both being at Lewisburg, and both using the "Gemini method" We've all seen prison pix of mob guys together or on prison baseball team etc. Hope they enjoy their stay

Almost true, but I wouldn't say acolytes. Remember the Lufthansa heist., but I know what you are saying. Hundreds of murders by DeMeo crew and only some by Vario

Maybe he didnt meet them personaly, but do you guys think he ever heard something about the DeMeo crew before or after he became a rat?

Re: The Twins.. - 12/17/13 02:57 PM

I wonder if the people in the mafia today knows who Roy DeMeo and his crew is.. for example, Hector pegan from Mob Wives, maybe he knows who they are? what do you think?

Anthony thought he was Senter of the universe.

Do you think soliders, capos etc know the history of the mob? that they know former bosses, soliders and so on? i mean not in person! but maybe someone in the bonano or colombo family have heard of The DeMeo Crew for example? i am now thinking of the Nyc Mafia.

Why don't you write to them? You have their current address.

Or ask Tony Testa on Facebook.

Re: The Twins.. - 04/18/14 09:01 PM

I was fully sure that Senter was full blooded Italian and made in the Lucchese Family.

I'm reading Carlo's book on Gaspipe and it says (paraphrasing) "they all knew Senter could not be made as he was not full blooded Italian".

Is this true or is it bullshit?

If it is true, what is the rest of Senter's ancestry made up of?

Big boy,

Henry Hill went into Witness Protection in 1980.He was still on the streets in the 70's. It is possible he met the twins but who knows.

Re: The Twins.. - 04/22/14 01:16 PM

There seem to be a lot of threads about the twins. Any reason why? Is it some inside joke? It seems like they were relatively minor figures in the overall history of OC. Not busting balls, just asking.

Re: The Twins.. - 04/22/14 01:32 PM

They are/were two good looking dudes. Maybe that's why. Hell when I first seen the thread title, I thought it said "twinks".

Baldo, I think that a lot of people find the twins fascinating because of unusual nature of their crimes. That's one reason why there are so many questions about them. I think they were followers, not leaders. Anyway, I'm sure the questions will keep coming as new members become active
