Who is the Lucchese Underboss? - 11/26/13 11:20 PM

Lucchese Crime Family

Boss: Steven "Wonderboy" Crea
Underboss: Unknown
Consigliere: Joseph "Joe C." Caridi
New Jersey Faction Boss: Michael “Mad Dog” Taccetta
Acting New Jersey Faction Boss: Ralph Vito Perna

Any guesses as to who the underboss is? Anyone suspected as being the underboss or even acting underboss? Thanks

Ralph Perna is the offcial capo of the jersey crew, not acting. Now that might change with the 2010 gambling bust case looking like its closer to coming to an end and if perna gets a lengthy sentence with taccetta getting out of prison he might be the one to take over the crew. But as of now ralph perna is the offcial captian.

I've heard the underboss is dominic truscello , the lucchese family r in good sharp following the reign of amuso and casso . There the only family to have there administration intact and out of prison , they also have experienced capos being released from prison in the next couple of years

as far as we know it the current position of underboss for the Lucchese family is unknown. Of course we can all speculate on who it may be.

Re: Who is the Lucchese Underboss? - 11/27/13 06:07 PM

my guess is bowat has tight parole restrictions. but the way lil al talks about him the guy loves the city life and probably bounces around all the mob eateries. maybe he switched that guy joe c to under made a new consig. wonder if he still got he herion connects.but the Dominicans flood the east coast there prices would crush the mobs h. that's goes back to my theory about rizzuto flooding the north east with the good bud.

I remember reading that Anthony rabito was banned from all the mob spots cause of his surpervised release. they had a big picture and all his favorite spots rao pepes ect

I thought it was truscello a year ago, I posted about it, now I believe it's bowat, then frank lastorino. Joe caridi as Consiglieri is wiki bs, he was amusos #3, why would crea keep him there, especially when he's doing time.

I believe capeci was the one who brought up bowat, FL was revealed like a year ago in some article.

Re: Who is the Lucchese Underboss? - 11/27/13 07:30 PM

It must be either truscello or barrata that's for sure , I believe caridi is consigliere , he took over from Louis daidone , before that frank papangi then lastorino was acting consigliere , don't think caridi was ever consigliere for amuso .

Nothing official has come out in terms of who is currently Lucchese underboss. The last official consigliere, before he was indicted, was Caridi.

There was even mention of the underboss being Martin taccetta a year or two ago , don't think there is truth to that though

Anything official, or citing official sources, whether it's in an article, indictment, etc.

Aside from the Genoveses and the Gambinos. wink

Re: Who is the Lucchese Underboss? - 11/28/13 05:26 AM

The gambinos have an official boss and underboss in dominic cefalu and frank Cali , the consigliere was Jo Jo corozzo before he went to prison so bobby vernace took over as consigliere . Unless Jo Jo corrozo has resumed his role they don't have an official consigliere. The Genovese family have a boss I believe is Barney bellomo , but not sure if he is the official boss , I know Daniel Leo was acting boss , they don't have an official underboss because Benny eggs has retired due to his age and illness , they do have an official consigliere, quiet dom cirillo , the colombos r in a mess and the bonnanos official boss Michael mancuso is in prison till 2019 . The lucchese r the only family to have an official administration on the street

the last official genovese consigliere was Jimmy Ida(doing life in prison), and no one has replaced him. Cirillo was the acting boss until he got indicted in 2005 and since he got out in 2008 its been said hes a high ranking member and possibly being on some type of ruling panel, but im pretty sure him being consigliere is wiki BS. And IF the luccheses dont have an underboss(not saying they do or don't) then they dont have any more of an intact administration then any of the other families besides the Bonnanos who only has Difiore on the street acting for Mancuso. even the Colombos have acting boss andy russo and acting under Donnie shacks.

Yeah plus theodore persico was released a couple of weeks ago so no doubt he will be running things for carmine persico , Andy mush Russo is still in prison and Thomas farase was acting consigliere replacing the recently deceased richard fusco . The lucchese family r in good shape with there administration whole , plus experienced captains being released in the next couple of years , it will be interesting to c how George zappola and goggles conte get on wen there released . Zappola and frank lastorino were jailed in part fir a plot to kill now official boss Steven crea , lastorino has been released and is still around so maybe a peace agreement has been reached

Russo was released back in June. ya we will see if persico gets back his captain status or if hes bumped up to some kind of administration position, either way, being a perisco if he decideds to jump back in, he will probably play a key role.

Re: Who is the Lucchese Underboss? - 11/28/13 02:20 PM

Your not wrong , the colombos r more like a blood family than a mob family , in my mind carmine persico has damaged the family staying on as boss , he should retire and name a successor for the good of the family , he don't do that though look what happened when Vic orena tried to overthrow him . I think the only person who would have had a chance to tAke over was bill cutolo . He was a massive money earner and had a huge amount of respect within the family , hence why Alphonse persico and Jackie deross fearing his growing influence in the family made him underboss so they could get him close enough to kill him . Persico should be forced to step down for the good of the family just like Vic amuso did

Re: Who is the Lucchese Underboss? - 11/28/13 02:50 PM

it was said that vic amuso got sent word that he was out and he shouldnt make any noise about it, or something like that and amuso didn't, i definatly wouldnt expect the same reaction from carmine if the colombos tried to do that with him, and i doubt anyone is looking to start another war seeing the last one almost destroy the family. the thing with the persicos is that they have so many relatives on the street loyal to carmine where as Amuso didnt have anybody left owing him allegiance. heres a list someone else made of all of persicos relatives on the street-

-Alphonse “Little Allie Boy” Persico/Made (Son of Carmine)

-Daniel Persico/Made (Son of Teddy Sr.)

-Carmine L. “Junior” Persico/Associate (Son of Teddy Sr.)

-Sean Persico/Associate (Son Teddy Sr.)

Salvatore Persico/Associate (Brother of Carmine) (Dead)

-Frank Persico Sr/Associate (Son of Salvatore) (Dead)

--Frank “Fankie Sweats” Persico Jr/Associate (Son of Frank Sr.)

Other Relatives:

Andrew “Andy Mush” Russo/Made (Cousin of Carmine Perisco)

-Joseph “JoJo” Russo/Made (Son of Andy) (Dead)

-William “Billy” Russo/Made (Son of Andy)

That's some list , and they r just family . He has more guys who r loyal to him that r not family. The baudanza family r one to watch , they r a powerful family in there own right with members in the Colombo and lucchese families

Re: Who is the Lucchese Underboss? - 11/28/13 03:48 PM

nice list and information. Had no idea the Colombos were so blood related. It's definitely the reason why junior is still in power.

It's really impressive the Carmine is still the boss of that family considering he's been in prison for all but like 4 years since 1971.
