What's the underboss for the family Joe Pesci was quoting in Casino when he said: "This guy, the underboos, could fuck up a cup of coffee."

That guy was supposed to be the Kansas City underboss.

Carl "Tuffy" DeLuna would not have been Nick Civella's UB if he was an idiot. He did made the mistakes of keeping the casino ledgers in his house and ranting loudly in his produce store. That aside, I expect he was a respected member - nationwide. Back then KC was fairly powerful and active. Nick Civella had Roy Williams in his pocket, which meant that the large Teamster Pension loans had to go through Nick during Roy Williams tenure.

Agreed.A lot of people say that if Testa had reigned for a lot longer it wouldn't have been nearly as bad,but I don't buy it.He made 2 of the worst decisions ever with his choice of Casella as his #2 and Scarfo as his consigliere. Then when Scarfo became Boss,it was really all over.Scarfo had no business being Boss of an Ant Farm or a Lemonade Stand, let alone a Family. After that,it got even WORSE !!! Johnny "Bumper Guards" Stanfa,Ralph "Cracker Jack Box" Natale,George "The Mannequin" Borgesi, and Anthony "Broad Daylight" Nicodemo are just a few in a long line of embarrassments.

there is no way if ligambi and borgesi go to prison that the old scarfo guys that have got out of prison , particularly the narducci brothers the grande brothers and possibly Charlie White ianacce will take orders from Merlino and mazzone . Those guys were stone cold gangsters and thought of those young kids as street corner punks . They have all done there time and will think it's there birthright to take over and probably think they deserve a larger piece of the pie
