Does anybody have any recent photos of Nicky Scarfo? All I've seen are the ones from the 80s and I'm sure he looks much older now.

I'll second that, would love to se one. He's probably 5' tall now.. Don't they take new photos every few years in the can so they have something recent in case you escape...??

its the truth too. His mother is dead, his sister is dead but she hated his guts since they were young, obviously not leonetti,his oldest son disowned him and changed his named,nicky jr is in prison, mark is dead.

I never understood the hate this guy got. He was real tough guy, did his thing in the street and died like a man.

If you're gonna be a gangster then you might as well go all the way with it. This guy was a gangster in every sense of the word. That in itself is a rarity, even among gangsters. His legacy is in many ways very admirable. He lived his life fearlessly and did everything most people don't have the balls to do. My guess is he enjoyed every moment.

Did his oldest son definitely disown him? He might have just changed his name because he's working legitimately and doesn't want to be tainted with the same brush. Doesn't mean he didn't love his father. Although I don't know the dynamics of that family and everything that went down. If Scarfo really mocked his other son for attempting suicide, that's the lowest of the low, but it's also pretty low if what he actually said and thought was distorted and made for public consumption. I've got to believe he's more redeemable than that. I mean Nicky Jr. was pretty busted up about that.

You know what i find admirable? Men who take care of their family,men who live life as a good citizen. Admirable and nicky scarfo dont belong in the same sentence lol

From what ive heard chris and his father never got along really. Its not hard to imagine knowing nickys reputation. He even wanted his wife dead at one point. This is the same guy who killed his most loyal capo over a damn news article lol

I seriously doubt he had that problem Moe. This guy had a lot of friends in prison. Even the guards loved him. One thing about this guy is that he never lost his smile or his sense of humor. This may come as a surprise to you Moe, but people who are happy and genuinely love life tend to have many friends. If it hadn't been for Joey Merlino's jealousy, Scarfo would've gone down as one of the more beloved figures in Philly. The guys on the street loved him.

Yeah, you're probably right. I guess it's just hard to understand the pathology of guys like Scarfo, what makes them tick. Similarly to Joey Merlino, he seems to be happiest when he's inflicting pain and misery on others. I'd say it's/was uncomfortable for people to hang around guys like this. I suppose Goodfellas encapsulated it well with Joe Pesci's character, his sadism and how everyone walked on eggshells around him.

some mobsters have better family relationships than others. I mean look at Roy Demeo. Basically a serial killer yet had a great relationship with his 3 kids. Kinda shows you how nuts Scarfo was lol.

You do realize that these people Scarfo killed or was accused of killing were playing the same game? It's not like he hit random people. Most of these people were killers themselves. Salvie Testa killed a lot of people.

The reason what the name changed was because of the business he chose and also the one that he is doing now that he is making great money in would never allow a name like Scarfo .

There were really only a couple things out of line in that life that he did , people in that life looked up to him other then the underlings that always talk about superiors but he will go down in history.

Serp..gotta ask this..is what phil,says true..did he sit with jr, on more than one occasion..and if so, how do u think sr felt.here is my feel, sr would disown his kid, have him shelved whatever, there is no way he is who he is and would just accept jr having coffee phil, no way..and if he did, shame on him.. call the skinny guy and his ironies what u will, they wouldn’t accept it..I know, phil has balls, they all do, they would never sit in the same block if they knew was there, let alone talk with him.

I don’t think there is / was any kind of relationship there “ and from what I know it was twice the time that Phil surprised him and another time same at a family thing so pretty sure Jr. was not mingling with him as much as Phil would love to have someone to share that with but that’s not the case Jr. was walked up on and you know that Jr is not carrying a piece and going to kill Phil in the middle of the day at a business.

Jr. Is what he is even as a boy he is same was you can piss him off and he is remaining calm and not going to over react he is not his fathers son in that way but obviously everything else don’t matter it’s the life first he will end up close to 40 years in the joint if he lives so I would say he put the life first.

No he is still very cautious and I don’t think he is making plans with old friends... Now maybe a surprise visit but he is not settling himself up I don’t think.

Actually not many people know this but Leonetti has a daughter in AC still. I think she’s from another woman, which is a reason to come back. Not sure if it’s the best relationship though.

Also, kind of funny/random I was walking in down 13th St last night and guy I was walking with stopped at a corner and looked down as we were talking and said “that’s Mike Chang, Stevie Mazzone, Joey Merlino and tommy scafidi’s signatures”. Sure enough in the cement you can see ‘Chang’ written twice, ‘Head’, ‘Joe’ and ‘Stevie’. From the late 80s write outside the back entrance of S. Philly HS. If you guys are downtown ever it’s kind of funny to check out. Corner of 13th & Jackson. I would have taken a pic but it was evening/getting dark and the guy I was with definitely would have thought looked at me suspiciously and weirdly if I did, but it’s definitely there!
