Re: Dana Bostic and the new breeds - 10/17/13 10:43 PM

prime example of what's going on in chicago

he didn't have alot of territory but was still one of the top dogs on the street

in the mid 90s him and his 16 blocks would have been invisible to the authorities

Even in the 90s this group would still be notice. The new breeds spots vary on the west side and their not that large of a group in general.

Re: Dana Bostic and the new breeds - 10/18/13 04:54 PM

ive seen this. the problem with so many of these guys is that they pile up so many unecessary bodies in pointless turf beefs that theres no way they are gonna succeed in the long term. it said he had a pretty good connect for H( i wanna say erik guevara- who had a direct connect to a mexican supplier.) so bostic is prob getting pretty decent stuff. with those profit margins what is wrong with these guys?

He was running that faction of the new breeds and the heroin operation for about a decade so he had a good run. Those vice lords that were arrested recently had been operating since 96.

Most of those turf beefs is focus on drug control, it's a combination of quality & quantity profits. You could be earning 3-5 grand a day from a few blocks, if you expand out then the profits increases obviously. Which mean more conflicts arise if the leaders aren't using democracy. In this case, New Breeds are rivals ( not always) to the Vice Lords and the breeds areas is typically surrounded by them. The worse conflict so far was between them and the TVLs back in 2006.

Thtas right, and the lengths they go to with the viciousness, they hope will deter others from encroaching on the "real-estate" they fought to control, like or not a lot of times thats what your thrown In to when no jobs are available, and these 14-15 year olds are force to provide cause his parents are smokers. I think if given the opportunity 85-90% of these people would take a 9-5 that they made enough at to support they familes.

With El Chapo's cartel flooding Chicago with his heroin and coke it's no surprise a lot of these top gang bosses have people who are able to supply them real weight like theyr getting.

Re: Dana Bostic and the new breeds - 10/19/13 08:01 PM

is crack still a big seller in chicago?

if i was a gang leader with a good heroin connect i would send people down to places like virginia and kentucky to sell heroin in all the oxy flooded towns. ive read about detroit traffickers doing this but not any from chicago.

oxyana trailer
this is a good film about the oxy epidemic in this one town called oceana in virginia, its so bad down there that they have given it the knicname oxyana.
Some of the stories and people are quite sad.

In my opinion , I say 65%-70%. There will always be career criminals and some of them do have 9-5 to cover up their other lifestyle. Wouldn't be surprise if there some Gustavo Fring characters.

They already have done the networking out. That's why you can find them and half of this country.

Re: Dana Bostic and the new breeds - 10/20/13 10:54 PM

@blackfamily

the new breeds weren't even getting indicted in the 90s

because the feds had bigger fishes to fry

@scorcese

the IIVLs were operating since 96 because they weren't worth indicting

they indicted them now because there ain't many mobs functioning halfway cohesively

the major drug in chicago is heroin.....not crack

Re: Dana Bostic and the new breeds - 10/21/13 03:05 AM

If they wasn't getting indicted in the 90s doesn't equate to being inactive in the drug trade. You should spend some time to looking through articles/reports you would know they been have spots since the 80s.
Same for the IIVLs which been active since the late 50s and active in the drug trade as long as the other VL branches. Their are quite some mobs still functioning cohesively. Do more research instead of replying with these matter of fact opinions. At least your right about the drug trade portion though.

^^^^^^

i ain't gotta look at articles to know what's going on in chicago

go look on google maps at the territory the IIVLs had (named in the indictment)

then come back and tell me how big and bad they are

Re: Dana Bostic and the new breeds - 10/22/13 02:51 PM

Sure, I like geography. After finding their turf, I counted 16 blocks. The indictment hit the eastern portion of their turf but not the whole area. IIVLs turf: Division St to the North, Pulaski Rd to the East, Augusta Blvd to the South, N Kostner Ave to the West. Unless we count different, it's 8 blocks across and 8 blocks down which equals 16 blocks. But their next door neighbor is quite larger then them, do you know which VL branch I'm referring to? After all you already know smile .
