I was in prison for 10 days, got released on bail. Might go back again after law court. The thing I'm being blamed for maximum sentence is five years.

So what happen? You couldn't make bail in during the course of the trial they just released you because the witness bailed?

This is one of them threads were the percentage of liars is really high. Having said that, no I haven't been to jail. Like Paulie said "You get points for staying out of the can!".

thats pretty much what I thought most people would think about this thread which is why i didn't even bother posting my story. Paulie was defiantly right about that though lol.

In Latvia you go first to jail, for 48 hours, after that you go to court and the judge decides to hold you on arrest or to release you. If you're kept in arrest, then you go to Riga Central Prison. This one is where I was and where everyone until law court does their time - http://www.photoriga.com/2010/02/prison.html
After law court, you get taken away to other prisons around the country if you're made guilty.

Bail was set at 2mill cash only, and case was droped after a year no trial.

JAIL ,not even the part of being locked down,it is disgusting, dirty, disgusting people, fucking food you don't know what it is or where it came from, the bath rooms are different in jail then prisons, all share,

I have not been there since the70s 80s,so i can't say what it is like now.
I was in jail in south Fla.when the big coke push in 79,80,
and all cubins where in there because of castro sending them to south Fla,
Talk about horrible disgusting, they were like animals, not because of being from cuba, It was because they were dirt poor and were on the street before they got locked up,and the worst of the worst.

"Stone cold killers" they did not speak the language made it worse..the fights ,when fights would break out the guy or guys were dead or knocked out before guards got there..Crazy shit

The system was so over crowded that people were on the floor.
The fla. system would make them work out in fields in the day, bring them back in the night to 6 showers for 50 guys...

Jersey was a lot better still group shower but a little cleaner food a little better.

Now days the system is so much better ,people have told about the conditions and the states have cleaned things up ,now days guys like it,they keep going back food is better they health care ,dental,psychiatrist,drugs..

Neither jail nor prison is anything like it used to be. Even horrible pits of despair like cook county here in Chicago are candyland compared to what it they were twenty years ago.

That sounds bad, buddy. But you pulled through and yeah the cubans in the 80's were notorious for being exactly what you described. How long was your bid?

Sometimes a Sopranos reference is fitting. Fiction or not, that point is valid. Now go troll someplace else turdface.

What prison would u consider worse western, northern, or southern prisons?

Re: Prison - 09/23/13 11:36 AM

charged with 2 counts of aggravated assault with a firearm for shooting at some supposed bikers that ran to the police. Was looking at 20 years if convicted but thankfully the DA was in the military with me and I got it dropped...talk about not fun times...

Re: Prison - 09/23/13 10:31 PM

As I mentioned in another thread, I spent a couple months in Attica prison not as a prisoner but as a member of the military. This was back in the 70's. This is a maximum security facility and was a nasty place to be. as noted above, the food was terrible but also you didn't know what might be in it. When we left, we all agreed that we `wouldn't even spit on the sidewalk or do anything to get us back in there. We sometimes entertained ourselves at 2:00AM by sneaking down the gangways that ran behind the cells, and quietly turning off the utilities of those who gave us a hard time which pissed them off big time. A neat trick the regular guards taught us. D block is where the worst of the worst were housed. Even though we knew we would be going home soon, we were still locked in a cage

Re: Prison - 10/01/13 07:59 PM

Since I am 16 no I have not spent a day(24 hours) in prison. But I have vistited many prisons before, only because my mother works at prison. I hear all the stories and things that happen in Tennessee state prison.
