Dutch Schultz's motor

Where's Turnbull when I need him? I wonder if anyone else can help?

I'm getting married next year and we've booked our wedding car - a 1933 Buick Sedan. It's a beautiful car but the thing that sold it to me was that (apparently) it was once owned by Dutch Shultz. I don't know how true that is but I wondered if anyone knew if it was possible to authenticate this?

The link below is to the car itself...

Afraid I can't help you, Turi. Not much is written about Dutch, at least not to the level of detail as to the car(s) he may have owned. Somehow I'm dubious about a bullet hole in that car, retained until now. I'm guessing the last thing Dutch would have wanted in his day was to drive in a car that had a bullet hole that would call attention to the car--and the occupant.

Woohoo, glad you're still around TB and thanks for the honest reply.

Well I can't prove it one way or another - the story the old man told me was that Dutch changed the car for a bullet proof one soon after. It's a cool story, I hope it's true but I'll never know. Either way I've still got a beaut of a wedding car sorted smile
