According to Gamms he's not consig anymore so possibly not at all or he might become acting consig, he's not out until 2016 though.

The corozzos are very powerful and has been apart of the top administration sense the gotti days, its hard for me to believe that he will come out and allow himself to be demoted to captin, on the other hand he might cause he is lacostra nostra through and through, and u never serve 100% of fed time so he should be getting out in another year

You may be right about JoJO joining the admin but his release date is 1st of May 2016 - http://www.bop.gov/iloc2/InmateFinderSer...mp;x=35&y=7

Re: JO JO COROZZO - 06/09/13 05:44 PM

jojo got around in the early 80tys he wanted a piece of a boxers purse but they boxer who was from Scranton was claimed by some old school guy who was consig for buffalino. the whole beef went on for yrs after gotti took out paul jojo had a sit down with they old guy and gotti, gotti ruled in jojo favor 5k to the old guy, but the old guy never gave it up. the guy kept showing up at the ravenite gotti would duck him or have frank loc talk to him. then in the 90tys jojo hooked up with the last of the n.o. family on joker poker, he got around the country.

Yea that happens when you spend a chunk of your life in fed prisons.

Hes not the #3. Official or acting. Fed time the most you can get off is 15%. So he has to do the majority of his sentence. Then he has the manditory 3 yr supervised release. So dont expect him to just jump back into a position that already filled by someone else. The corozzos have tons of pull, he doesnt need to be in the admin to have pull.

The only way jo jo is not in the top 3 positions when he gets done with this prison business is if he decides to be, he can write his own ticket

Re: JO JO COROZZO - 06/09/13 09:28 PM

Obviously you want a guy like Corozzo in the fold, but what if Cefalu were to say "fuck you, Jo Jo I've got a new administration now" what can he do about it? He could either accept it or start a war (which isn't happening).

You're probably right i barely know anything about JoJo all i'm thinking is it's a completely different admin from when he went away, so i personally don't think he'll return to the admin. Possibly because as you said he might not want to and also Skinny said he'll more or less have as much pull as a capo as he would as consig or whatever.

Re: JO JO COROZZO - 06/09/13 10:07 PM

If they were going to have him retain the position, it would have been very easy for Corozzo to do so while somebody is acting consigliere. The fact that he was replaced suggests he won't be consigliere when he gets out.

Now that Bobby Glasses is gone, any word on a replacement?

John Gambino? Jackie Nose?

Even if corozzo isnt a captain he will be a leader. Its like being Chins son. Not even made, but even today nobody touches him.

Assuming John Gambino isnt actually boss, i still kinda doubt hes the #3. If he was it would only be temporary until they groom Mannino for it.

Jackie Nose is a soldier now.

If its not Lenny it will be a zip.

Is his son involved in the rackets? Thought I read somewhere that he acted as an intermediary for his father.

Does anyone have a picture of Mannino? How old is her? Where is he from? Whose crew did he come up in?

This is the picture of Lorenzo Mannino that was on Mukremin's Gambino Family chart. Mannino has been with John Gambino and his brother Joe from at least the early 1980's. He is probably the person closest to John Gambino other then Gambino's brothers. Mannino, Joe Gambino and John Gambino all served 15 years for mostly the same charges including the murder of Francesco Oliveri in 1988. Mannino was with John and Joe Gambino at that meeting with the leaders of the philly LCN family that Nicky Skins taped. Mannino and Gambino are related by either blood or marriage.

Considering Mannino and John were the Gambino's representatives meeting with Philly (which indicates that factions pull), coupled with the Sicilian factions new standing (Cefalu and Cali), I'd strongly suggest Mannino or John Gambino as consigliere.
The Sicilians have the power, and this is the strongest sicilian faction not represented in the administration (yet can represent the family on business).

I agree it's between JG and Lorenzo for Consigliere, I'd put money on it being Mannino, JG has been in bad health for a while but he's still active, to an extent. Don't think he'll want the job. I think if Alphonse Trucchio didn't go to jail he'd have been a contender, despite his young age. He was at that meeting with his young buck Micheal Roccaforte.

I don't do speculation about ranks and whatnot. So I'll just post what I know to be ONE HUNDRED PERCENT TRUE:

John Gambino is practically an invalid. He's THAT sick. Let the guy enjoy whatever time he has left and stop worrying about whether or not he's "active." Sure, he still gets money. But he doesn't leave his house. And it's not to fool the government or some other clandestine nonsense. He doesn't leave his house because the poor guy is half dead.

Oh right, thought you were having a little dig at me haha, thanks for the info. Is he still officially a captain even though he is gravely ill?

Well that's what happens when you leave the mediterranean and swap olives, fish and wine for the smog, hot pockets and oily calzones.

Yes. But at this point I think it's more honorary than in practice. He did a lot of time, and he is, after all, still a viable conduit to Sicily. You don't break a man like him.

hay benny eggs is 100 and still official ub. jojo has 18more months till he hits a halfway house then 3yrs of supervised release he no longer a thought in there top 3 my guess. Thought so.

http://www.americanmafia.com/forum/toast.asp?sub=show&action=posts&fid=1&tid=42991

"He was maybe 6'2'' back in the 1950s. Probably not much over 6'0'' now. I know he started out mainly in bookmaking and had a pizza shop that only made two or three pizzas every week to keep up appearances...*L*. No one actually patronized this pizza shop. Occasionally he worked on crossword puzzles with my mother when she was a girl back in the 50s."
