Not a whole lot written about these guys since their problems with the Pagans and Mondevergine. I think it was a guy named Michael Hendri that was considered one of the leaders ten years ago. Not sure about today. Pretty sure they all hang out at Cookies Tavern which is run by a guy named Wagner who is supposedly connected. A guy named William Andrews that is buddies with Mousie just got 12 years for selling oxy's in a school zone in Philly. He was supposedly a member of the 10th and O.

Is the 10th and Oregon gang like a self made mafia where different ethnicities can join?

10 and O are still around. They aren't the drug gang like when Louie Turra or Johen Hendri and those guys were around. But they still hang at Cookies bar. Procopio bartends there on the side. They still deal in mainly drugs and some gambling. Some guys have no ties to OC and just hang there cause they all grew up together. You got guys from 20 to mid 40s who hang at that bar together. Theres old guys in there to form the neighborhood. Its a funny little bar. 10th and O aren't the drug ring like they use to be but they are still in existence and have been so for at least 40 or 50 years. Dom Grande hung there before he started hanging with mob guys more and more. A lot of them have a "All for One" tattoo on them. Those two guys names are in the news so I put them in the post. Don't want to post guys that are not known. The bar they hang at is the usual dive bar with a cigarette and poker machine and I think it use to be owned my a Marine or something like that. They have a big party ever summer to celebrate him. A lot of those guys around there are really close. Not sure but haven't heard of guys around there ratting on each other. They were always the craziest mother fuckers around. Back in the 80s and 90s, the younger kids use to fight the Irish kids from 2nd street a lot. 10th and Oregon corner gang definitely had the mystique that other corners didn't. There are some stories about them in the news only when they were fighting with the Mob or the pagans. Just google it. Nothing new and thats probably cause they are not as big and organzied as before but they are still known and watched.

Some of the older guys that got in trouble before are now living in South Jersey. I believe Hendri is in Deptford but not quite sure.

Sorry didn't see that I repeated some stuff. Also, there are different ethnicites but mainly Italian. Just guys from the neighborhood which is mainly Italian but not every guy there as a last name that ends in a vowel smile

Theres a few of them in south jersey in the Deptford and Washington Township area.

A bunch of them used to hang out at the Deptford Tavern, but this is years ago so i'm not sure where they go these days.

The Deptford Tavern used to be owned by Nicky Scarfo's friend Sy Hoeflich back in the 1980's.

Dennis Virelli, thats a name thats been around for years. They used to call him Chief. Big speed guy but i'm pretty sure he flipped and testified. Is he in the WPP or is he still in philly?

Over the years Virelli was involved with all the big local players in the speed racket. The 10th&O Crew, the South Philly wiseguys and the Pagans.

Virelli definitely flipped, he testified against one of his partners..Mark Lanzilotti. He only got 5 years as reward for flipping....he was looking at decades behind bars because of all his priors.

Philadelphia Inquirer - October 16, 2002 - B02 LOCAL NEWS PHILADELPHIA & ITS SUBURBS

Mob informant receives a five-year drug sentence

Government informant Dennis Virelli, a convicted drug dealer who once helped to plot the murder of crime boss Joseph "Skinny Joey" Merlino, was sentenced to five years in prison yesterday for his role in a methamphetamine-distribution ring in Philadelphia, South Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania. Virelli, 57, faced a possible sentence of life imprisonment because of his extensive criminal background.

Virelli's son Michael also flipped. He ratted out some texas drug people he met in prison.

Jail time reduced for Philadelphia area drug dealer

George Anastasia
06/28/2006.

Jun. 28--A jailed drug dealer and organized crime associate once involved in a plot to murder mob boss Joseph "Skinny Joey" Merlino had five years knocked off his current prison sentence today because of information his son provided to federal investigators about a Texas drug network.

As a result, Dennis Virelli, once a major methamphetamine distributor in Philadelphia, South Jersey and Southeastern Pennsylvania, could be out of prison in about 17 months, his lawyer said.

Virelli, 62, thanked his son, Michael and FBI agent Mario Campana, who, he said, gave him the opportunity to have his sentence reduced.

U.S. District Court Judge Michael Baylinson resentenced Virelli based on a motion filed by the U.S. Attorney's Office.

While the motion was filed under seal, Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Ehlers disclosed some of the details during a brief hearing attended by Virelli's elderly mother and several other family members.

Ehlers said the government sought a re-sentencing because of Virelli's ongoing cooperation and because of information his son, who is also serving time for drug dealing, provided federal authorities.

Ehlers said that while serving time in a federal prison Michael Virelli "by chance" learned details about a drug trafficking ring in South Texas.

"At the urging of his father," Ehlers said, Michael Virelli provided authorities with information that resulted in the arrest of 12 drug dealers and the seizure of 19 kilograms of cocaine.

Both Dennis Virelli and his son were serving time for manufacturing and distributing meth. Both began cooperating with authorities after pleading guilty in 2000.

Michael Virelli, 39, is about to complete a six-year sentence.

Dennis Virelli has a history of narcotics trafficking in the Philadelphia area that included connections with drug dealers, mob figures and outlaw biker gangs.

His first drug conviction was in 1984.

At one point he was a key associate of Louie Turra, a young South Philadelphia drug kingpin and rival of Joey Merlino. The Turra group plotted, but failed to carry out, a hit on Merlino in the mid 1990s.

Dennis Virelli was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 1999 for drug trafficking. He began cooperating after being charged in another drug case a year later.

Today's hearing focused on a five-year sentence imposed after he began cooperating. That sentence was originally set to begin after Virelli completed his 10-year sentence.

But Baylinson, at the urging of both the U.S. Attorney's Office and Virelli's lawyer Craig R. Mitnick agreed to re-sentence.

"I very much support cooperation and think it should be rewarded," the judge said.

Baylinson reduced the five-year sentence to 42 months and, more important, ruled that it was to run concurrently with the 10-year sentence from the date in October 2002 when the five-year term was imposed.

As a result, Virelli has completed that sentence and will be freed once he has finished serving time for the 1999 case.
