Who is the strongest crew in Brooklyn? (Or brooklyn based crew) Is it Dom Cefalus 18th ave crew? Longo crew? Corozzo? Marino? I only know the big names, not much else, any opinions?

I think the bonannos and Colombos have crews there. Big John Castellucci also runs the Lucchese Bensonhurst crew. Lou Vallario and sonny ciccone are in Brooklyn too.

88% black. The Luccheses had a very strong crew based out of Mount Vernon right up until the early '90s. But they pretty much broke it up when the Italians all split. There can't be 50 Italians left under the age of 80. And they're only still there because they have nowhere else to go.

Traditionally speaking, Bensonhurst has always been a Gambino and Colombo stronghold. The Gambino and Colombo Bensonhurst mobsters have always interacted and engaged in business operations with eachother. When the FBI started to make Mafia member lists back in the 1960s they had problems with putting the Bensonhurst mobsters with the right Family. Even informants (not necessarily made guys) with insight in that area were not totally sure of who belonged to which Family. It took a while before the feds got it right.

Today Frank Cali (Gambino underboss) is a major power in that area. So is the Gambino boss (Cefalu). Other Gambino high ranking members in that area include John Gambino and Lou Vallario. (Vallario´s crew may have been taken over by Louis DeVito.)

"Big" John Castellucci is a Lucchese skipper who operates out of Bensonhurst and I think Bonanno´s Vinny "TV" Badalamenti is a Bensonhurst guy originally (I´m not sure).

I don't think so. There hasn't even been a lot of discernible activity in Jersey in recent years, to say nothing of New York. They're not allowed to make any NY guys anymore. And I think most of their NY operations got smashed with the big indictment in the late 1990's/early 2000's.
