dupont hit someone who owed him money. as gottis lackie he wanted to impress the upper echolon so he whacked the guy. then got life in jail for it. great career. i spose he symbolises the side of the mafia we dont remember. the type of guys who try and try all their lives to be made and never get the power. look at sammy the bull's personal luca brasi. after all them years in the life and all the murders he comitted he only got made on his deathbed. sad.

According to Sammy himself, his "Luca Brasi" was actually Joe D´Angelo "Stymie". Stymie was shot dead during a brawl at Tali´s by a Colombo associate. Sammy later took Stymie´s kid, "Little Joe" under his wing. The kid was made in 1992 but turned informant/state´s witness.

I have to admit I got a chuckle when he went and knocked on the door and Peter Gotti answered. The look on his face was priceless when he was at the door.
