Gotti and H

Gotti and H - 02/15/13 12:01 PM

Can we all agree that Gotti Sr was at least by silent consent a dealer in dope? My understanding is he was never ultimately charged--but wasn't that the government assumption even tho they never presented concrete evidence?

I mean is it even remotely possible that Fat Ang, Gene, and Carnig could have handled powder and Johnny Boy not know, since they were undoubtedly kicking up?

(When mobbed up lawyer Mike Corio went up for Heroin Johnny Boy was caught on tape saying, "We're sorry, Mike, you know we're sorry..." for what, getting caught dealing junk?)

In conclusion, its reasonable, right, that he, like a lot goombas poo-pooed the injunction against drugs?

Re: Gotti and H - 02/15/13 12:33 PM

Of course Gotti knew. Gotti was a degenerate gambler who regularly pissed away the crew's earnings. Angelo and Gene always were pissed about this. So in order for the crew to earn on top of his gambling they dealt in drugs since it was profitable

I think they dealt out of greed regardless. Gotti's gambling just ate up a good portion of the profits.

Absolutely. Those guys were dealing no matter what.

Re: Gotti and H - 02/15/13 03:39 PM

Johnny Boy absolutely knew that his crew was dealing junk. Not just Fat Ange, Gene and Carnig, but Tony Roach Rampino among others. The Roach not only dealt but sampled his own product and was a user. That whole crew was neck deep in junk.

This is one of the reasons I get sick every time I see Victoria running around extolling her daddy's virtue's. He was a murdering, junk dealing egotist who nearly ruined the Gambino family.

I saw her at the wake of a mutual friend about five years ago. I thought it was trick or treat. If she lets the electrolysis go for a week or so, she can easily get a job on "Mob Wives."

I heard that Farby chased Sal Ruggiero off Pleasant one day, and the kid was mighty perplexed to find out that his brother couldn't do anything about it. True story wink.

Re: Gotti and H - 02/15/13 04:28 PM

Very few could chase like that guy, maybe the Horn but not many others. Pleasent Ave was its own little world. Ever see any litter there though? Back then I meant! Crime was everywhere, except you never saw it. Then of coarse a buetiful red head came along and stole our knight in shining armor and to him to a far away land called the Bronx!

She actually took him to Yonkers. But you're doing great!

It's easy enough to respect both AP and DL wink.

Gotta go pick up Mrs. Pizza. Be back later.

Ok Yonkers, however anytime a family was moving and drove North you heard "There moving to the Bronx" if it was south you heard "there moving to Corona" and back then there were cars leaving every Weekend.

Hahahahahaha.....best description of Tommy Bilotti I have ever heard.

He was underboss for what? 2 Weeks? That has to be shortest reign of any admin in the history of the 5 families. Whacked after 2 weeks.

Who the fuck is Momo?

That's from "Get Shorty." One of the great mob comedies of all-time. Gene Hackman can't take all the nicknames anymore, so he blurts it out. Great scene. His character's name in the film was Harry Zimm.

So from now on, Skinny, your new street name is Zimm. That's how nicknames get started anyway. An older guy (in my case ancient) usually hangs it on you for fun. It's never sinister like the papers make it out to be.

That's true. The uptown guys almost always moved either north or east. Staten Island was for the downtown and Brooklyn guys.

But the truth? We almost crossed the Guinea Gangplank after we got married. My wife grew up in Queens and later Massapequa, so when we first got married we compromised and lived in Astoria for almost two years. When it was time to buy a house, we simultaneously bid on a place on Staten Island and the home we eventually bought in Throggs Neck. The Bronx worked out and Staten Island fell through. It was pretty close, though.

They were all over Columbia and Dutchess Counties. The guy who ran the Genovese crew up in White Plains had a house on Lake Taconic that he personally drove his own station wagon to. A fucking station wagon.

Those guys were so boring in "real life" that on the weekends they'd go uptate, sit around in overalls (no bullshit, fucking overalls), and compare tomatoes and corn. No flash in that crew whatsoever.

No mention of the wood paneling on the sides! Scary part was they thought it was classy. Ever notice they all bought Pea Soup colored cars? Boomer drives an F-350. Looks like Mr McGoo

I saw him last week. He's honestly pushing 350. But those ads are fucking cringeworthy. How can I mock the Mob Wives with a straight face when one of our own puts that crap out there? lol And do me a favor and never post that stuff, for his parents' sake lol.

But the truth? Michael is just about the funniest cat I've known in my entire life. You gotta see him in Florida. He's like this weird hybrid of cracker/ginzo. As if Al Pacino mated with Elly May Clampett. He pairs alligator nuggets with Ruffino chianti.
