I have the book. No "secret link" between Mormons and the Mafia. The guy who wrote the book was involved with the mob in Detroit years ago before he joined the church and left "the life" behind.

I'm seem to remember something about the Christian religion having something to do with the sinner finding forgiveness and changing their life. And, for the record, he didn't have to "hide" behind anything. He wasn't in prison, on the run from the mob, etc. like some other former mobsters who turned to religion.

Why cant people just be good to begin with? Always something sinister driving them to God these days. They should be with God prior to need. Most take a knee when there scared or in need like this case.

You're referring to Big Love, which was about a polygamist family in Utah. These groups are not affiliated with the Mormon church, which hasn't practiced polygamy in over a century. They're break offs who were either ex-communicated or left the church long ago. To blame the Mormons for what they do, in real life or on TV, is like blaming the Catholics for what some Protestant church members do.

What was I blaming them for? It was advertised as a Modern Family for Mormons, minus the hot latin wife.
