Who do you think has more power, Frank Cali or Barney Bellomo? Both are pretty young and very powerful for their age. They also both got made very young. I'm thinking Bellomo has a more powerful spot in the family but Cali has connections in Italy. So who do you think has more power? And also, who's more violent?

It's not such a stupid question. Some people might pronounce it like the short way we call California (Cali-- CA Lee), but that's wrong. The emphasis is on the second half of the name, hence the ' over the i-- Cali'. It's properly said, Cah LEE.

I think bellomo wins. Bellomo has money smarts and comes from a more solid foundation.

No doubt Cali is a very wealthy guy, and he's supposed to be a pretty smart guy too with great connections on both sides of the ocean. If he can stay out of prison he has a pretty bright future in the mob i would say. Sooner or later he will be running that family. UB now and definitely a future boss as long as he can stay out of prison.

But Barney i would bet has more juice and more money. He's been a major force for a long time now. Ran or still runs probably the heaviest crew in NY for the heaviest family. For all i know he might be the #1 guy now for the Genovese. If not he's right up there.
