Monday will be 10 years since John Gotti died

I wonder if there will be any tribute in NYC about his death.

They should name off all the guys who would be out of prison now if they hadn't been forced by Gotti to reject plea deals.

I'm sure one of the grandkids is due for a reality show by now.

I seriously doubt it. The Gotti's hurt the Gambino Family a lot. They have made it clear that they are done with that style of management.

and the nydailynews ran a piece a few yrs back which they talked to a number of local residents about gotti and while all said he deserved what he got, etc that the neighborhood was much safer when he was around and that he was a nice guy

In Gotti's neighborhood 95% of the locals loved him. he helped alot of people with money. I read he even paid for local kids college. Donated money to the local hospital, the nieghborhood was much safer with him out of prison, helped elderly with money, plus he never turned he kept his mouth shut till the unlike many rats.

Gotti didnt personally kill McBratney. Ralph Galione shot him while angleo and john held him. in fact according to witnesses McBratney was very strong and carried both john and angelo to teh end of the bar. we didnt know gotti was involved int he vito borelli killing until massino said so when he testified recently, given gotti's tough guy persona, etc i wouldnt be surprised if he did kill somebody and like i mentioned before we just dont know about it/it hasnt been revealed and probably never will since that was so long ago.

I agree. If he was involved we probably will not hear about it at this point. I don't see any of the old timers who would have that info flipping, so any info people may have will probably be taken to the grave.
