The latest from the Philly Mob - 12/09/11 03:29 PM

Things have been very quiet escp after that duchebag axed MOB TALK. That show was great. Anasatasia's Mob Scene's are 2 minutes long and never have any good stuff. Im sick over this still..

Heres the latest..

Bent Finger Lou offically flipped.. Living in Ventor and out in the open..

Staino is the only one out on bail.. I wonder if he is still involved with the current regime and collecting money for Mousie and Uncle Joe.. Do you think they are still getting their money from their operations? I wonder if Stevie and Chang just took everything or keeping alittle for the Ligambi crew...

Seems like the feds think 10 of these guys will flip. Its getting fuckin stupid now with all the bs about trying to flip this one and that one..

Dame and Georgie are the 2 they think they can flip.. I doubt it.. If any of these 2 flip it would be a horror show for the Merlino and Ligambi crew..

Joey, Chang, Nicodemio, Lance cannot be sleeping well at night.. Any of these guys flip, they're fucked..

Looks like Mazzone and Chang have kept a low profile while all this unfolds.. Any news on the streets? Lance and Nicodemio out and about ??

I've heard that Johnny Chang might be out. He has been off parole and all restrictions for about a year now. If anyone remembers when he was released he wanted to move to NC but was not allowed, now it's no longer a problem for him. He was offered the top spot but from the looks of things on the street he declined. JC is a stand up guy and did 2 bits but the 3rd time if so would be forever.

Not anymore, years past some guys would get what they would called "shelved" this was often done if somebody was with a decimated crew. Now in this age its not a bad thing especially for somebody in Changs spot, 2 times in jail facing life if convicted again which often gives them to potential to rar (not that Chang would but others in that spot could).

This is a new generation and a guy like Chang who is still young but goes back over 30 years in this life, he seen his share of rats and now it happens with guys facing little time (bent finger Lou for example). Guys above him wouldnt care because hes no longer a possible threat to take them out and guys below him are eager to get that spot.

There isnt as much money to be made as it was when Chang was low on the chart of the Scarfo era but I wouldnt be surprised if he made more then that what he could make now be he a Boss, UB, or Capo. Has to also be a downer knowing each time he went away he came back to find more pieces of the action and ways to earn go away.

BTW when I said Chang wasnt allowed to move to NC, It was by the parole board not the mob.

I see where Damien Canalichio was denied bail. Now you look at his situation,he's been down twice for drugs plus other stuff,a conviction gets him 22 yrs.he's 42 that means out when your 64.What does he have left/I'm against ratting big time, but what be a stand up guy to impress who?they want info on that Johnny Gongs hit.these lawyers making fun of these charges calling it racketeering lite is starting not to be funny.I mean Borgesi had the mindset he was getting out in Jan.[halfway house]now he mite get another 8-10 yrs.so if convicted you mite has well say his original sentence was 25 yrs instead of the 14 he got.I doubt Ligambi wants to spend the next 10 yrs. in jail,he already had a taste of it.Yeah this is racketeering lite all-right,c who gets the last laugh.

Authorities pressure South Jersey mobster to cooperate by denying bail

Reputed South Jersey mobster Damion Canalichio was ordered held without bail Thursday while he awaits trial on racketeering charges.
U.S. District Court Judge Eduardo C. Robreno said Canalichio's criminal history and the allegations in the pending case supported prosecutors' arguments that Canalichio, 42, would be a danger to the community if released on bail.
Canalichio's lawyer, Margaret Grasso, had argued for some form of house arrest, citing the nearly 30 relatives and friends who had packed the 11th-floor federal courtroom in Philadelphia for the bail hearing.
Grasso said most were willing to post their homes as collateral in a bail package.
Canalichio, of the Turnersville section of Washington Township, is completing a 57-month sentence for a drug-dealing conviction. He was eligible for release on Dec. 18.
In May, however, he was indicted along with reputed mob boss Joseph Ligambi and 11 others in a racketeering case built around allegations of loan-sharking, extortion, and illegal gambling.
The case includes taped conversations in which Canalichio allegedly boasts about his use of violence to collect loan-shark debts and in which he identifies himself as a collector for Ligambi.
In arguing against bail, Assistant U.S. Attorney John S. Han described Canalichio was a "formally initiated member of La Cosa Nostra" with a history of eight arrests and four convictions since 1999.
Two of those convictions were for drug trafficking.
Han said Canalichio faced up to 262 months in prison if convicted in the pending racketeering case.
Canalichio is one of six defendants in the case, including Ligambi, who have been denied bail pending trial, which is scheduled for September.
All six are held at the Federal Detention Center at Seventh and Arch Streets in Philadelphia.
The denial of bail and the threat of a lengthy prison sentence have been described by both underworld and law enforcement sources as attempts to pressure Canalichio into cooperating.
Authorities believe he has information about the murder of mobster John "Johnny Gongs" Casasanto in 2003. The Casasanto murder is one of three gangland killings that are the focus on an investigation by the FBI and Philadelphia police homicide detectives.
