Questions About Philip Leonetti - 11/03/11 11:04 AM

I wondered: When was he made? What age?, He said he killed 7 people I think, who were they all? Has he left the witness protection, or ever returned to Philly? Anyone got any pics of him on the street with associates etc?

Thanks.

According to his biography on A&E a while back, he was proposed for membership by his uncle sometime around 1979 to then boss Angelo Bruno. Later that year he would kill Vincent Falcone. I don't think he actually got made until after Bruno's death in 1980.

He became a made guy under Philip Testa along with Salvie and others. He would have had no shot with Bruno in charge.

In the A&E special I'm pretty sure he talks about him and Falcone killing someone together too. Was Vincent Falcone also made?

Falcone was not made. Falcone was another concrete contractor in the AC area, that was badmouthing Scarfo.

I saw that recently on A&E. He had some interesting insights into the whole Scarfo thing. Drives me crazy that people like him flip for his family when it's pretty clear in the "making" ceremony that the other family comes first.

You can say that for everybody that is made know. No shot with Bruno in charge. But Leonetti does come off like a very bright guy in those interviews.

Murder in the aid of racketeering? That will get you a nice chunk of jail time.

Falcone was a seemingly legitimate guy who had complained about the quality of a cement job done by Scarfo's company. I consider this especially ruthless, even for Scarfo. The odd thing is apparently Leonetti said 'I wish he was alive so I could kill him again', which was Salvie Testa's exact line after killing Rocco Marinucci.

Scarfo said that not Leonetti.

Is it true though that Falcone participated in a hit(s) on behalf of the Philly mob? I swear Leonetti claims him an Falcone as well as Lawrence Merlino did a hit together on the A&E documentary. If this is true, why would you feel so sorry for Falcone getting hit himself? Not like he was a model citizen and he was not very bright if he was bad mouthing Scarfo in public.

In the first minute of this video Phil says, Ì emptied my gun into him, Lawrence ducks, and in the mean time Vincent Falcone comes out and empties his gun into him`, so unless he is talking about another Vincent Falcone, he too was a mafia hitman and not such an innocent victim.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that it was Salvie Testa who drove the Riccobene kid to suicide. But whatever, they're all bad guys.

He is very articulate and he looks intelligent, I can't imagine he killed 10 people, he's not stupid and could work something else, not a hitman.

In interview he comes across as calm and collected but leonetti was a brutal killer. I mean he grew up under scarfo and was even used getting rid of bodies at a young age. He also once put a knife to his girlfriend's throat just for fun. Sp Leonetti might present himself now as just a regular guy but he was a violent mobster

Yeah I have heard some people saying he actually wasn't too bothered about Testa getting murdered as he could further solidify his power in the family etc, don't know how much of that is true though...
