Da Noi on Mob Wives - 05/10/11 10:52 PM

So I was watching everyone's favorite show, Mob Wives and I noticed Renee Graziano going out for a drink at this place called Da Noi in Staten Island. Does anyone know who owns this joint?

not sure - I wonder if it has any relation to the old Da Noi on the Upper East Side? which used to be owned by Carlo Vaccarezza - a Gotti Sr. associate (possibly Gambino solider? captain?)

Yeah that's what I was thinking, but I thought he had sold it years ago. Maybe he still owns it. Where is Vaccarezza by the way? Didn't he retire to Florida?

lol lol That was the most ridiculous moment I've ever seen in my goddamn life. Can you picture this fucking guy going "I'm Hector Pagan motherfucker." With all these cameras around, that drunk could've said anything to him.

I seem to recall hearing, or reading things in the local Staten Island paper (The Staten Island Advance) about Da Noi having a mob connection but I can't recall the specifics. There is more than one restaurant with the same name and I think they have (or had) at least one of the same owners at one time but I'm not sure. I have to check and post back.

In any case, that scene was classic reality TV BS. There is no way the "Irish drunk" surprised the gals (Renee and Karen). The TV cameras would be conspicuous, ya know? And there sure as hell is no way Renee's (Hispanic) ex out on bail, would assault the "Irish drunk" with cameras rolling.

Anyone else think it's odd that Renee has an Hispanic ex? Yeah, I know he is clearly a 'white' Italian looking Hispanic, but it's still odd. [I hope this isn't construed as a 'racist' or anti-Hispanic comment, cause that's not how I intended it.]

Come on folks, it's reality TV BS.

[By the way, the scene with Hector Pagan and the 'Irish guy' took place in the Z-One Lounge, NOT Da Noi].

I was aware of that. But Z One Lounge? I thought it was The Buddah Lounge.

I think the Buddha Lounge was where Renee and Drita had their 'sit down'.

Well, whatever. I don't really care where they fought. I doubt anyone does.

The owner of Da Noi. That was the reason for this thread.

That's very true; I never said Hispanic was a race. They can be any race. In fact, most Hispanics in the US are more 'Indian' (aka Amerindian) than anything else. But I digress...

Well, the current owner is apparently someone named Luis Gomez. There are 2 on Staten Island and one in Bayonne, NJ. I am aware of no mob connection currently.

I don't care either, just trying to clarify what some these place names that came up are.

The owner is a guy named Luis Gomez. There is are 2 on Staten Island and one in Bayonne. I will post back when and if I come across anything relevant mobwise to the place.

Maybe he's not the real owner. Hard to hell who owns what when it comes to the mafia. And he could very well be the real owner.

Carlo Vaccarezza is probably long retired and enjoying himself somewhere in the Florida sun. Good for him. Hope he uses sunblock.
