I'm not sure which New Orleans mob you're talking about but the local Mafia family in that town, once headed by Carlos Marcello, is gone. They were on their last legs even back in the early 1990's when some of the remaining members got busted along with the Gambino and Genovese families in the video gambling case.

Re: New Orleans Family Chart - 06/05/11 05:33 AM

By the way of the 27 names listing both birth year and year of death, the average age of death is 74. CRS Report to Congress in 2006 shows an average life expectancy of 51.79 years given the year of birth. **Report only went back to 1900 so all those born before that year were given the life expectancy of the year 1900

Re: New Orleans Family Chart - 09/02/13 02:14 AM

what really made the Marcello family so powerful was its alliances with criminal networks in florida- trafficanti and texas -civello ,campisi. Marcello even had a piece of the vegas Tropicana and was in with frank Costello in gambling all through Louisiana. with guys like lansky and even the cowboy benny binion -they all had their wars and figured to do business together instead of kill over turf. that's why they had a commission and Marcello was on it.

Re: New Orleans Family Chart - 09/02/13 11:35 PM

spot on, we all know it... the 5 familys(NY), chicago, philly, new england and new jersey... and from personal knowlesdge i know new england will be done by 2025, and oi hear new jersey is weakened these days. But lets face it these are all the areas youd expect to still be active, how many italian organized criminals or white organized criminals live in tradittional nieghborhoods anymore.. next to none... where iam from its a role reversal the rents, and mortgages are cheaper in the suburbs than the city, its all of a suddn trendy and hip to live in the city,

Re: New Orleans Family Chart - 10/15/13 02:28 PM

(This is a chart on the New Orleans LCN Family. The chart was made by a guy named Lennert on the Real Deal Forum. It was made in 2010.)

As it said, this chat was made in 2010, 3 almost 4 years ago and has only listed "KNOWN" members.
for New Orleans to be one of the oldest in organized crime (NOT TO MENTION ONE OF THE MOST CORRUPT CITIES IN THE NATION) not to have so much HEAT of the nation or police on them "thanks to family's from the north".
its seems foolish to out rule the possibility that the family is over & done with.
Anyone from New Orleans or the south coast can easily see the money to be made here. just for 1, the offshore oil field.
Now offshore oil works or not always in USA waters witch makes it a lot easier to clean money and hide other forms of organized crime income.
The south has only been coming up due to oil & gas, as a lot of the rest of the country are losing jobs everyday. This is also due to the port of fourchon being the #2 top import of oil & gas in the U.S.A.
Some of you say the New Orleans Family is no more.
I say, "if the people were not good at what they do, then it would have never happened in the first place".
The entire organization is based upon the silence of what they are and what they do. If the silence is upheld, it leads everyone to believe that it is no more.
So maybe rethink the thought of the New Orleans Family being over, or continue to think that they are gone and by that thought alone you may very well be giving them more power.

No....Just no...It's over....this is my stomping ground I've lived in this area my whole life. unless you can name the names of people that are made and active (which you won't because you'll claim "its based in secrecy" AKA SHIT DON'T EXIST)

I've run across guys like this my whole life in Louisiana. They say they know somebody. But if cornered into saying who it is, they will say they know somebody that knows somebody, and it always ends up not being anyone connected to LCN.

Bottom line, come with hard names and facts, or keep coming off as a 23 year old Italian that wishes he was made and wants NOLA to still be alive.

using this logic, since theres a lot of potential money to be made in los angeles and since "silence is being upheld there", i guess that family is still booming right. rolleyes
