What happened to all the sons of Carlo Gambino?!?
I have been re-watching Crime Inc...and obviously...being 20years old it isnt up to date at all.
It has a scene where Tommy Gambino, who it says claims to be a legit businessman, is standing talking with a young John Gotti and Angelo Rugerio. It was made in 1984.
just thought i would ask for info on the gambino boys!
Turnbull can give you more but I believe they donated a Children's cancer institute or something like that to Thomas Jefferson University. I believe it was in the early 1990's that they had a trial about the garment district in New York and took a plea bargain. They paid a fine and promised to stay out of the garment business.
They are both millionaires, I know that much.

Thomas and Joseph Gambino were nailed by Sammy Gravano in the same rat-out that sent Gotti to prison for the rest of his life. They were hit with with racketeering and antitrust charges. They made a plea bargain to pay $12 million in penalties and get rid of their garment trucking interests--the mainstay of their Gambino Family rackets. Tommy also was sentenced to five years in prison in 1996. And yes, they made a widely publicized donation to a children's clinic.
I've got that Crime Inc. dvd. Man, I cringe at how old it is but it's got some good stuff on it.
crime inc is ace.
i love how old it is...when you see gotti and rugerio chatting with thomas gambino...i get a feeling of "oh how little you know martin short (the narrator)"
So whos is Salvatore "Sonny" Gambino
thanks turnbull - i knew i could count on you

The Gambino brothers are hardly gangsters. They were raised as well off- go to Jesuit prep school kids. The success of their trucking business however, depended much on their last name and family connections..
