I read something about that, it seems poison is not allowed to use it in the Cosa Nostra is that true?

Maybe there once was such a rule, but I doubt there's any mafiosi who would actually follow such rules.
The most important rule in the maffia is a rule that each individual maffiosi makes for himself: "Follow the rules when they turn out to be good for me"

Probably this rule doesn't exist.....there are some Mafiosi killed by a cup of coffee in jail. And that's not because it's only coffe...(don't remember which Mafiosi it was, does anybody know?)

I don't think so, poison has been used many times in mob killlings, not as popular as the point blank gun shot but used none the less......I don't think it was ever a rule it just doesn't make sense why it would be

Joe Batters is right it has been used many times in mob killings. The most notable ones though are usually sub contracted out to outside Mafia hitman. Non Italians and contract killers such as Richard Kuklinsky etc.

I don't see why there would be a rule against it. To wiseguys killing others is fair game unless you're harming civilians ie. with a car bomb etc.

Don Pappo,

You've said in several posts that you have either " read somewhere" or "heard" ...........

Can you at least provide us with the links or the source to where you may have read something like this?

Mobsters are killers. Plain and simple. They will use whatever means available to finish the job, be it a gun, a knife, a rope, a pipe, or poison.

You seem to be under this impression that they are honorable people who live by these honorable rules.

Don't be so impressed and believe everything that you see in the movies my friend. There's hollywood, and then there's the real world.

Have you ever read any mob books about real life mobsters?

Didn't mean him....it was a turncoat in jail if I'm correct. But I don't know in which corner to look for it...Italian Mafia? Cosa Nostra? don't remember it.
