Movie? As far as I know, it is only a book by Peter Maas (a wonderful author), but it is a wonderful book. As far as I know it was not a movie.

Yeah, they made a movie of it - Charles Bronson played Valachi. It wasn't a terribly good movie, but any "Mob" fan should see it. You'd be better off reading the book, though.
