Nice list. I 'm glad to realize that i've seen a lot of them. Layer Cake and A prophet would be on my top list.

Here are some other foreign mob movies i would recommend :

- Company (India) : a movie inspired by the story of the so called "D Company", considered to be India's biggest CO

- Une vie meilleure ("A better life"): a small budget French movie about the Corsican Mafia.

- GAL (Spain) : it tells the true story of how the Spanish secret services used French mobsters to kill Basque ETA members who were living in France.

- Anime Nere ("Black souls") : an Italian movie about a N'Drangheta clan. I've watched pretty much every Italian movies about the Mafia and i 'd say Anime Nere is among my favourites.

- Shottas (Jamaica) : it's about Jamaican gangsters in Jamaica and Florida.

- Yardie (UK): first movie directed by idriss Elba on a Jamaican gangster in the UK.

- Un Prophète (A Prophet) a 2009 french movie on a 19 y old franch algerian that start like a servant for the brutal corsican boss that rule in the prison and become a boss after served his 6 yeras sentence.

I watched the movie and its a step foeward a simple gangster movie but reflect of cunning and intelligence and how the protagonist learns what it means to command from the old Corsican boss and manages to impose himself on other Muslims.I recommend you to watch it.
