I will watch it for Tom Hardy. Looks like you have to see it from the prespective of Capone when his brains were ravaged by syfilis.

What's with the makeup? They got Capone looking like a ghoul. Wore a lot of thumb rings back in the day? Although you do have to wonder what happened to some of these guys' fortunes. The Capone's and Luciano's must have left behind quite a nest egg. Like generational wealth, but it doesn't seem to be the case. What happened to all the physical cash?

Based on true events apparently. I'm not sure how much of this you take believe.

Tom Hardy is always great, this is not about Capone in his prime, but his final years when he was very sick.

I agree Luciano had no children so the heritage probably went to his brother Bart Lucania his wife Igea Lissoni died a few years before him.

i remember when they had the geraldo rivera special about capone's secret vault. they found nothing. at one point they let geraldo fire a thompson machine gun. he almost killed the two camera men.

Watched it today and wasn't overly impressed (in fact, it's quite depressing). Good performance by Hardy, as is to be expected, but the movie's forgettable in my opinion.
