Just finished the first episode. I have to say its bad, compared with the former seasons. I know its a bit early to say, but I feel the rhythm is not right.
Give it time i guess that it feel weird because it's after the big war and everyone is dead then it's a massive change... We all will get used to it after couple of episodes

I see what you mean. But the second episode picks up the pace. I think it will be a decent season with new, interesting and refreshing characters.

Wow, the Balgaria episode is awesome, this show has the ambition to touch OC activities in multiple countries. Hope it develope some contact with american LCN.
1. As I suspected, this show is actually based more on the Licciardi Family clan than the DiLauros. The DiLauro comparison always seemed off to me.....
2. I don't think this show will ever touch the Fashion Industry rackets, maybe too much clout there......

Tell me how people have passed away in my life and I've shown little or no emotion but I cried like my two year old daughter when I watched the last episode. No spoilers but this really fkd the show up for me.
I DO think Conte was based mostly on Amato. The Savastanos are like a composite of the Licciardis and DiLauros.
I don't think it's a situation quite like Narcos, where the actor bodied it into a bag. And the third season suffered for it. The El Chapo actor is similarly killing it on that show.
Because it's more about the system. Example, the most interesting parts of the season for me wernt character based. It was watching Gennaro work the Funeral racket. It was Ciro in Bulgaria, how they went a little in depth on Human trafficking. It was watching Gennaro set up Labor racketeering in absence of Labor Unions. It was the grotesque, cartel-branding culture where they send each other pictures and videos of atrocities to try to cower the other side.
Apparently, as shown on El Chapo, they been doing this since VHS tapes??! I like the drug clan politics in play.People that keep up with Canada should watch this show, as it illustrated vividly how quickly alliances change, and how deadly the game can be. Also for illustrating the profitability of drug trafficking. Gennaro said in a year he made his father in law like 90 million, even though he was trying to fuck him, lol....
I also loved Enzo's grow house. It was real clean. I didn't really get why they had to stop growing because they started selling coke?? They could paid ANY kid to watch the plants, lol. All his shit was automated....

I agree with Cabrinis take on things. There is no single person that cannot be replaced. With that said, I'm really gonna miss our boy. One of the best characters ever on TV IMO.
They begin shooting in April, so we may have season 4 as early as fall/winter 2018.
The loss of Ciro is still weighing on me man. Can't imagine the show without him. It's crazy how we know how truly evil Ciro was but still saw him as sort of a protagonist.
This is what I'm waiting on . Be cool to see how Ciro came to be, I just hope they use mokadelik as the music again. God damn that music was intense ! Such a beautiful show !
My favourite part was how Ciro and Genny devolped as charecters, they were so close at first than eventually became enemies than don Pietro sinks to a new low kills a child.....than Genny and Ciro are close again . The scene where Ciro kills malamore was amazing ! That damn music gets me everytime !
Coincidentally I finished watching the entire show last week. It might be a hot take, but in my opinion they could've wrapped everything up after the first two brilliant seasons.
