L.A. Noir: The Struggle for the Soul of America's Most Seductive City

Anyone read it? A lot about Mickey Cohen, Jack Dragna, and "The Battle of the Sunset Strip".

Trying to read it. Way too much about LAPD chief Willie Parker. Every book, tv show or movie about the mob in LA has always been about the misunderstood police having to crack heads, etc. The James Ellroy formula. Seems nobody can shake it. I was hoping this one would focus primarily on the underworld players. Doesn't seem to be the case.
