Omerta Movie

On the back of my hardcover book from the library it says that Omerta soon be a Miramax motion picture. I never heard of them making Omerta a movie, and with Miramax's future up in the air, I wonder if this will ever happen.

Anyone know? IMDB doesn't even have a page for it and they usually have pages for movies that are rumored.
