Your original comment, which opened this thread, referred to Carol Gino as a "guy". She's a woman (and an attractive one at that).

I've read one of her books {"Rusty's Story") and her writing style is easy to read and enjoyable.

Okay guys, I'm going to give this posting thing a try!
I'm the "guy" who hung out with Mario while he worked. And along the way, he taught me a few things. Of course he did the brilliant part and I did the rest. (That's the humble me...kidding around) Right off the top I can tell you that the truth is that he worked on this book for a bunch of years...because he loved the treachery of the characters and he believed it to be another "Family story." You'll recognize his "voice" through all of it, I'm sure.

I've noticed in most of Mario Puzo's books that I've read that he follows something like a "time-plan". He starts at somepoint in time, then goes back in history (a few years or decades), comes back to the begining's time period (in The Sicilian, he kept going back and forth). And then, moves on to the "future" (the time after the period when it all started).

I don't know if I made any sense with that, but I haven't noticed this with many other authors (maybe one or two max). Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
