Elected officials from your state, position of mayor or higher who are arrested, charged, or convicted.

Let's get this party started.

The mayor of a northern New Jersey city has been charged with official misconduct after an investigation found that the mayor had asked public employees to work on personal projects while they were being paid by the city, the New Jersey attorney general announced on Tuesday.

Jose Torres, 58, the mayor of Paterson, the state’s third-largest city, was accused in the scheme along with three public works supervisors.

“This is a case of old-school public corruption and abuse of power,” Christopher Porrino, the state attorney general, said in a news conference. “Mayor Torres allegedly treated city workers like his personal handymen and treated taxpayer dollars like they were his own.”

Mr. Torres and the three supervisors, Joseph Mania, 51, Imad Mowaswes, 52, and Timothy Hanlon 30, were charged with conspiracy, official misconduct, theft, tampering with public records and falsifying or tampering with records, among other charges. Prosecutors declined to immediately provide the names of the lawyers for the three supervisors.

We have a fake Italian here in NYC another crook, but I am starting to like him because he can be bought. We would never have had MMA here or Uber here if it wasnt for him. I mean the guy even turned his lesbian wife straight. He can do everything if the money's right. I might even start to eat pizza with a knife and fork.

There was a song that they used to play on "The Electric Company"kid's show on pbs called "Spaghetti with a Spoon". I haven't heard it in over 30 years but can sing it word for word. Always comes t ind when I see your half-paisan mayor on tv. smile

but NO ONE, NO ONE, NO ONE ever ate spaghetti with a spoon/

Bentley is gone, but he was by far the least dirtiest politician in office. Some of his statements ticked me off, as well as some of his policies. Session and Strange are two who needs to leave office. Montgomery and Birmingham are the two biggest cities with rabid corruption.

Hey we got free public college in NY. But you will have to pay for your books. Now people are complaining about that. Gov Cuomo just announced it with the late Hillary Clinton. You know city colleges are now going to raise their tuition.

On another note first they said the Russians wanted trump to win the election. Now the same people are saying Trump and the Russians are close to having a nuclear war. smile so evidently Putin wanted him as president so they could have a nuke war BOOOOOM.

Foot,

About the people complaining? Human nature. If you watch the 10 commandments on tv this weekend, pay attention to how much the people complain after they escape egypt.

As far as Trump and Russia....Do you remember what Bill Clinton did to get the press off his back about Monica? I sense the same thing here with Trump.
Military strike and deaths will bump and scandal or controversy out of the headlines.

Same soup, just re-heated.

I think Alabama is gonna win the 2017 pool.

Not everyday that a governor steps down and cops to crimes.

I need Sen. Menendez to come through for me for NJ to have a chance in the pool.

Hey gett that Ten Commandments with Heston was my favorite movie for years. I know most of the dialogue in it. John Derek who played Joshua was a terrible actor but he was very good in this. He was smart enough to marry Bo Derek. I bought the movie on Amazon so I could watch it anytime I like. They said Edward G Robinson was miscast as Dathan but he was the only one in the whole movie who actually spoke Hebrew in the movie. What a cast that movie had. I actually have some of the props from that movie. I would kill for Ramases Armour and sword and war crown from that movie when he went after them after his son died. My grand daughter is staying with us for a few days. Wife buys her a hair extension I put hear the side of my head and tell her that is Ramases princes lock. She had no idea what I was talking about. smile

You could be right about the attack. The Syrian leader said he did not use chemical weapons on his people. He said we did it. So we had an excuse to bomb their air field. Maybe I believe that and Putin had nothing to do with it.

Foot,

Ramses lock, ehehehheh

That's cool that you have props from the film. You should see what they might go for on e-bay.

There was interesting casting in that film...Gentile playing Moses, Russian playing Egyptian Pharaoh, Canadian playing the Ethiopian wife. smile

Gets: You should focus on the poverty pimps in congress. Maxine Waters would be a good start.

The Trump Effect. I create a thread about political corruption in the form of arrests/convictions....clearly mention living in JERSEY...and you interject about a Rep. from California.

I see something above about an Alabama governor.

And I also see you posting a-lot of shit about cops. Although why anyone would want to become a cop these days is beyond me. It's a thankless job.

Did you know they take NY rookie cops right after their graduation from the academy. Then representatives from Seattle gets them to be cops in Seattle. They pay them to relocate and they pay them almost double what a rookie cop in NYC gets and they are happy. It seems people in Seattle are happy with making 60 thousand a year.

Yep our dirty ass governor gave up being governor, lost more than half his property through a divorce after being married like 50 something years all for a late 30's skank that was trying to make a name for herself. Now he has neither woman, no power, and an old guy with a record now. Crazy stuff!

Gets, yes we still call them package stores even though I say liquor store.
