angie- is my name
z- is the first word of my last name
23- is my age
pretty original, i guess. hah
Capo de la Cosa Nostra = Boss of the Mafia. I actually joined this site with no idea about the real life Mafia, so the name was just a spontaneous thought that I thought would be very common.
I know no Italian either, hence the mistake in the "de la" --I've been told that it should be "Della".

Re: Username meanings. - 02/06/04 09:39 PM
wat more can i say? im the Don Pope.
raggingbull: I spelled it wrong (damn me) supposed to be ragingbull. Surprisingly, Im not talking about the film. Its one of my nick names with my friends.
2003: The year it was when I came up with the name.
I dunno, man. Mine is weird. I just thought of anything. Doesn't really say anything about me, either.
I was going to be Don Santino Corleone but it was already taken.Sonny was my favorite character from the Godfather and Don Santino was used in the book when Tom thought to himself (after the Don was shot) that he never wanted to be consigleire to the Don of Santino Colreone. It says nothing about me personally.
It is based on the Jack Woltz line to Tom Hagen in GF except I am Italian & Irish.
blibbleblabble...... Isn't it obvious? Do I really need to explain?

Actually I dont have the slightest clue what your name means. Maybe you could inform me.
I think my name is obvious. I'll explain the numbers though. I am a fan of The Beatles since '01 and a fan of The Who since '02.

Re: Username meanings. - 02/07/04 04:41 AM
My username has no special meaning. I was watching a documentary about the Iceman, then a few minutes after. I came across this board, & I figured The Iceman would be a perfect handle.
Unless you count the fact that people have called me Iceman because I can be extremely cold hearted at times.

Puzo immortalised Salvatore Giuliano in his novel The Sicilian. The infamous real life bandit of the 40's.

My username is my Nickname that i have had for years, it tends to get used now as my alter ego. For when i am feeling odd.
Gut is obvious, well less so know, my belly has shrunk a bit recently. And the Lord part i have no idea where that came from, it was just original as far as i know.

Re: Username meanings. - 02/07/04 03:50 PM
Irishman12 is a name I've had as an ID for years. Irishman is just a nickname that I made up for myself (since I'm like 80-85% Irish & proud of it!) and than 12 was half of Michael Jordan's number, 23. Now I know it isn't correct (half of 23 is 11 1/2, but I didn't wanna make it too complicated with half's so I just rounded up to 12). Michael did the same thing with his number 23. Larry (his older brother) wore number 45 & Michael always thought he was as half as good as his brother so he took number 23 (half of 45). Well, one day I did the same with Mike's number & that's how I came up with the 12!

Mine is basically my initials. Loosely based on former WCW and NWA-TNA wrestler Jeff Jarretts one-time moniker, althought not wrestling related at all.
Sometimes, its my real life nickname as well.

Posted By: Don Luciano
Re: Username meanings. - 02/07/04 09:05 PM
Salvatore Luciana aka Charles 'lucky' Luciano, is my favorite organized crime figure. Hence, Don Luciano.
I fell into the common mistake of using a surname after the title Don...ie....Don Corleone, Don Clericuzio, when in actuallity Don's were refered to with the first name...ie...Don Carlo...Don Vito.
I make the assumption that the title 'Don' is rarely used by the Mafia post 1980, the last Gambino 'Don' to be refered to as 'Don' was Carlo Gambino. Why was this? Was it associated with old customs? Was it purley for legal reasons (ie, a wiretap that had two Mafioso reffering to their boss as Don would be very incriminating, gigante was extremley paranoid about this, going so far as to ban his family from saying his name) or maybe it was simply a custom that faded out?
family business in the homeland

(Andreassi is my last name)
I think my name is pretty self-explanatory. Fredo was waiting to be Don but Michael was given that position instead.

Without my Mummy. Obviously taken from the song in the theatre in GFII.
"Bella Mafia" is the name of a novel written by Lynda La Plante (I'd recommend it to all of you interested in the mafia, its a great book, you should be able to get it on amazon or somewhere).
"UK" because I'm from the United Kingdom.
Wasn't there a movie by that name also? Sounds familiar.
TIS
Don - What my friends added one since I'd taken over as lead man for our crew, FTF (F--- the Fame). I was "underboss" untill my friend Ben moved back out to California.
Ethereal - My nickname, means higher plane of existence, because of the content of my rap songs.
313 - I'm from Detroit
-Don Ethereal
PS - Heritage, Not Hate

La Dolce Vita = The Sweet Life.
It is also a Fellini film from the 60's.
I chose the name because my life is just that. I cannot imagine a life more full or more sweet.
I went to a restaurant near the BerniniFountains in Roma called La Dolci Vita back in 1991. I wonder if its still there.
My user name is the name of the Lon Chaney Sr. character in the great and bizarre silent film
THE UNKNOWN . I'll have a review of the movie up in a web zine soon and will provide a link to it later, if you like. When I get my 100 posts in, I'll have an avatar showing him.
My name is a nickname because my skin color is the color of butterpecan icecream and I am Puerto Rican

My nick means "Mago" ("Wizard") in German.
I took it from an ancient song, recently played by In Extremo called "Merseburger Zaubersprüche".
I heard the song and I liked it so much to take that word as a nick, first was "Zaubersprüche" (It could mean "Spell"), then just "Zauber".

TIS Hi TIS
I think they did make a film of the book, but I haven't seen it!!!
It's a great book though, about the wives of a mafia family who take control after their men get whacked. You'd love it! (no offence).

I wanted to be a Corleone so bad when I was a kid but alas I am not a Sicilian!
Sooo...they made me anyway and gave me 'ice' b/c of my blue eyes. I forged my Italian citizenship claiming to be a ancient Lombard who had lived in Northern Italy/Apline country and lied about owning a boat that I would take models/strippers etc to Sicily in. (lied about the boat I mean)

Didn't he lose to Chyna before leaving for NWA-TNA?

Re: Username meanings. - 10/30/06 06:20 AM
I've always liked the name Tony. The last name of Love I've always found to be rather peculiar. One night, I put the two together and it fit. So I kept it, and now, I live two lives. The life of being a scholar, and projectionist from the Heartland is my plain life. On the internet, I am Tony Love, Italian mafioso from Little Chicago.
