Favorite comedian?

Who is your favorite? Doesn't have to be only stand up comedians either, I'm talking t.v. or not, stand up or not, etc.

My favorite comedian: Richard Pryor (the GOAT in my opinion)

Sketch comedy: Dave Chappelle

Best to see live: Jeff Dunham (seen him 3 times now)

Favorite woman comedian: Amy Schumer

Favorite writer for comedians: Paul Mooney (who is good at stand up too)

Dirty but funny: Red Foxx

Funniest clean comedian: Sinbad. Seen him in person once, he doesn't cuss and is not dirty. Was one of the funniest shows I ever seen.

I've mentioned on here before, the first time I heard the late great John Pinette on satellite radio I laughed so hard that I had to pull the car off the road.



I think the greatest comic actors ever were Cary Grant and Alec Guiness. Peter Sellers is funnier than either of them, but my sense is that he was as much a creative comedian as he was a comic actor.

Agree 100%. Absolutely the best all around comic alive. I challenge anyone to watch 700 Sundays and not laugh and cry at the same time.

Being There with Peter Sellers us one of the funniest films I'be seen.

That's about all I listen to on Sirius is the comedy stations.

If we're including comic actors, my nominee is W.C. Fields.

The holy trinity... George Carlin(RIP), Robin Williams(RIP) and Chris Rock.

In today's shows (mostly Seinfeld)- Julia Louis-Dreyfuss; best facial expressions.

Old time: Laurel and Hardy. Stan Laurel's characters were priceless.

60's 70s: Jonathan Winters: facial expression, improv.

Today: Jim Carrey. Versatility.

Love seeing all the names, some I know and some I don't.

Turnbull I'm talking ANYTHING comedy. Can be movies to tv shows to even radio.

Man too many to name. Pryor, Chappelle, my favorite was probably Bernie Mac, always miss that guy.

RIP to Patrice O'Neal too. Real funny guy from Boston, died too early.

Corey Holcomb is good too been listening to his show lately.

Eddie Izzard, Richard Pryor, Bill Burr, Bill Hicks, Carlin, Louis CK, Don Rickels, Robert Schimmel.....

I could go on all day. I love stand up.

Don Rickles and Buddy Hackett.

As far as current comedians, Bill Burr without a doubt.

King of Queens is a great show and Kevin James is an extremely gifted physical actor with terrific timing.

Don't care what his detractors think.

I liked King of Queens too. I'm generally not a Kevin James fan (especially his movies) but he was pretty good in that show. Leah Remini was hot in that show as well. Jerry Stiller was always funny too. Seinfeld was just a genius on that show. How many people can have a show about nothing and have it funny? He is still "underrated" IMHO.

I think the girl on Seinfeld might be a genius tv comedian judge from all the Emmys this girl as won in here career.

Not to mention she's hot too

Never watched the Daily Show with Jon Stewart probably won't watch it with him, but he is a funny guy
