I've seen some headlines about that case. Stealing money and planting evidence routinely.....WOW!!

They had a ring of cops doing this.

anybody having a case involving any of these cops is going to have it dismissed outright and I'm figuring some convictions are going to be overturned.

It probably happens in police jurisdictions throughout the country. Don't forget the Rampart scandal from a few years back, Serpico before that.

Wow cops are crooked they take money they even extort local businesses for protection money.

That is amazing that is just some of the reasons I hate cops.

My ex son in law is a cop. He was so stupid no one would offer him any money.

I wanted to do a drive by on him. My daughter begged me not to because then my grand daughter would have no father. Like that would be a bad thing.

She calls me daddy when I watch her because she knows I love her above all others.

What do we expect ? In the 70's and 80's they started lowering standards for the State Police, locals and even the FBI so that they could show more diversity.

Rudy Giuliani was correctly credited with being tough on crime and cleaning up the city. Part of what makes him a hero in some circles though is that he lowered requirements for NYPD when he was in office. Wasn't done for "diversity" though and it just brought in lower quality candidates from the same backgrounds that the fully qualified cops came from.
Very few people complained when he lowered the bar or called it "affirmative action".

I think that's why he's being so forthcoming in his testimony.Have to own up to everything. I think he copped a deal that protects him from possible Fed. civil rights charges for racially targeting victims. Not sure though.

another great post, I fully agree, the war on drugs has been a momumental failure, and has led to all you speak of above.

still, it goes on. and the cops keep getting worse and worse.

Look cops make no money when they start. I think my paper boy makes more then a cop. You can not support a wife and a kid on cop money.

I think they all have to take money to make ends meet. I think they are encouraged to do it by other cops.

You know what I find amazing is that firemen won't do it.

After 9/11 when I saw firemen in my local key food store to buy food for tge fire house. I offered to pay their bill. They did not want me to do it.

So I got the manager of the key food to take my money. He offered to go half with me. The firemen took it a couple of times then they stopped.

I respect firemen and I respect soldiers.

Cops seen too much to ever respect them

I don't go to funerals. I did go to my sons friend Jimmy coyle he was a new firemen. Like to go to his fire house on his day off. On his day off 9/11 happened and he died with them.

In a fire you can call for help but that won't save you.

He was a brave soul and a nice kid.

On soldiers I gave someone advice before he went to Iraq. You there to kill nothing else. So if your in doubt kill them.

I see a lot of young kids kill people. Being young should not protect them when your in a shoot out. A wounded person can kill you before they die so.

His mother were in pre school for all four of our kids.

She was also in Joe torre little league baseball. They wanted to start a rec soccer program so she came to me to help them start that program.

She is a lovely women. Did not let the death of her son beat her. No weakness in that lady.

Ah shoot, I forgot throw my state under the bus as well. LoL
