That was great! I saw Fallon & Billy Joel which was also great. Btw, remember Plant's version of "Sea of Love" ( as The Honeydrippers) which I really liked too?
Fallon too, is really talented and does fantastic imitations.

"Snowbird," by Elvis Presley.
Anne Murray sang the original, but Elvis made it his own. Just like he did with every other cover he did in the last years of his life. He took everything from Perry Como's "It's Impossible" to S&G's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and put his own unique spin on them.
Anyway, I heard "Snowbird" on Elvis radio earlier today, and now it's stuck in my head. I'll never get any sleep now .

I was reading a thread on the GF Trilogy board titled "Irony in the Names." That rhymes with "Rhapsody in the Rain" by Lou Christie (attention: PB--one of your paisani), which is running through my head now.

You mean that Lugee Alfredo Giovanni Sacco is an Italian name?
But I know what you mean. That's just the kind of song that will get stuck in your head for awhile after you hear it. Pure '60s bubblegum pop. But I love it .

Yes. Before he got famous as Lou Christie, he sang in a duo called Sacco and Vanzetti.

Hmmm, I wonder if they "sang," if they still would have gotten the chair.
I know, I'm very clever. You don't have to say it, TB .

It's crazy that a tv ad song sticks in my mind. However, there's an ad (which I can't think of the product. LOL) that plays Simon & Garfunkel's "America." Along with the beautiful harmony of the two, the song brings back flashbacks of an era for me, that I can't really put a finger on. The song's been on my brain.
The lyrics saying "It took me four days to hitchhike from Saginaw" was kind of neat, cause I they were speaking of Saginaw, MI (my home state).
