Guido's are like the Jersey Shore. They don't represent Italian culture

Guido is a made up culture it was started by italian americans in new york. Its the same as the rap thug culture started by blacks in the 80s.These are just made up.It is only synonoumus with the groups because they invented it.

I Google about the Italian mob. Not so much about Italians.

It's weird hearing Italians call themselves guidos since I always considered that word to be a non-Italian put-down toward Italians. That's what other people called Italians, not what Italians called each other. There were other words for that. Greaseball, ginzo, gindaloon, Don Cheech, etc.

technically speaking, rappers in the (80s-late90s) were more so a representation of what was going on in their perspective inner cities. they didn't invent a culture they just got rich or got somebody else rich by making music garnered towards people that were living a life a crime

now these mothafuckas running around (2k5-present) are pretty much like the jersey shore crowd that wants to mix being metrosexual and a thug at the same time.........it disgusts me too
