Issues with Internet Explorer??

I've had at least 2 people so far tell me they've been having problems posting (and other issues) here the past couple days using Internet Explorer.

I hate IE, but just tried with IE9, and it worked for me, so I have no idea what the issue could be. I'll try to look into it, but I need to know how widespread the issue is -- who's having problems with the BB while using IE, and which version are you using? IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9, etc, and what exactly is happening? Which OS -- XP, Vista, Win7, Mac, etc.

I've had no problems whatsoever using Google Chrome (and neither did someone with IE issues) -- in fact, that's my current browser of choice. It's very fast and very clean compared to IE. Firefox would be my 2nd choice. Safari my third. I don't have a 4th choice right now.

But I'll try to look into the issue if those experiencing problems can give me as much detail as possible about the problems they're having. (Please try posting with Chrome if you can't with IE lol).

Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

I don't normally use IE (I hate it) but I did try it for this test. The first time I tried I simply could not reply to a message (after typing the reply the board would not go on to the next step). I exited IE and tried again and it worked the second time.

I'm using IE8 and Windows 7.

I was one of the people having posting problems for the last two days. And I have a vintage 1999 ComputerSaurus and an old, obsolete OS.

However, after logging in just now, I find that everything seems to be back to normal. Go figure. Or, as JGeoff would say, "WTF??"

I've had IE ever since I joined the Board in 2003 and I don't have any problems that I think originate with IE.

I have IE and only have issues on facebook. Whenever I'm on facebook IE just stops and I have to get off IE and back on. It's a pain, but I work from home sometimes. I have Juniper Xtranet that mirrors my work computer, so I can't change my browser as I have IE at work and it will screw up my work computer, and I won't be able to access that on my laptop.

How does that mirror work? You can see your work PC desktop on your home PC, right? What about the files stored on your work PC harddrive? You mean you can access them?

Exactly. When I click on the link it's as if I'm working at my computer at work. Which is why they ask that you make sure you have updated versions of everything and you have good virus protection. Because if you have a virus on your home computer, you're going to infect your work computer.

Does anyone know how I can divest my PC of Windows Live? I've tried some web suggestions to no avail.

Don't have or use MS Live, so have no idea. I think I might get a Mac next time around....

I dont have any problems, except for this one annoying thing. The website does not keep me logged in even though i check the box, this started 2-3 days ago. So everytime i want to post i have to login.

Happened to me with Facebook for a while, but try clearing your cookies in "My Stuff" and see if that helps...
