Trilogy Question

I have a question, this might sound stupid but i havent seen the movie so... is the Godfather (the book) made into 3 movies?

nope, the book only has the Godfather and some parts of Godfather II, in the young days of Don Vito. Though the book has a lot of details on the characters and some important characters which is not in the movie . . .
