His greencard (which is part of the blu-ray's SE) lists his birth date as July 1950.

I always just assumed mid-to-late 30's. If he was supposed to be in his 20's then that would make him the most unconvincing 20-something gangster since Tommy in Goodfellas.

The film takes place in 1980-1983 which would make him in his early 30s.
