Wow!

Herrmann ranks (IMO) along with Max Steiner, Franz Waxman, Ennio Morricone, John Williams and a few others I'll probably think of after I post this as one of the absolute top-tier film composers.

Hermann's first movie score was for "Citizen Kane." One of his best efforts was a partial soprano aria for "Salammbo," an opera to be sung by Kane's wife. It's an incredible piece of music:

You guy's r over the top...I did a little research about what u r talking about..& still cant make heads or tails...fuck---g Einstiens..lol..old school old movie score shit...God luv u's..I'll pass on this one & keep watching Sidney Poitier in "Guess Who's coming 2 dinner?"....can watch it 3 times a yr. & still get love out of it...

It's been restored on the TCM print.
