"Manifest" (NBC) - 09/25/18 05:16 AM

Anyone watch the new series on Monday night on NBC, "Manifest"?

It has the promise of being a good show for at least one season.

I DVR'd it - it has an interesting premise. I like time travel type shows (last year's Timeless) so am going to give it a try. Not sure how you would keep it going for multiple years.

I do want to see it. It was on opposite Bull and I had to choose. smile I think the premise sounds interesting. I plan to watch it "On Demand" later this week. Did anyone catch the new Magnum PI? I didn't see that either and not sure if I'll watch. I watched the original but wasn't a faithful viewer. Tonight there's a new show from creators of Law & Order, called FBI. I love all the L&Os, so I'm gonna tune in,

Finally new shows are back on. I was a fan of "Lethal Weapon." I know there's a new guy playing Riggs, and not sure how he'll do. I really liked Clayne Crawford in the part and also Damon Wayons is good. I'll tune in to see what it's like.

Watched 2 episodes so far - pretty good. A welcome relief from the reality shows and talent contests. An actual show!

Exactly, Don Marco. I find that I have had a LITTLE trouble following the characters and story line, but if I watch some of the scenes twice I pick up on it right away (and it's worth the trouble).

MY DISCUSSIONS OF THIS SHOW MAY CONTAIN SPOILER MATERIALS -

On a personal note I just noticed that my good friend, Tommy Bayiokis, had a small part in this week's episode (when the police arrested the guy who stole the electronics and hid them in the storage unit, my friend played a cop in that scene). I enjoy seeing how these seemingly unconnected events are really connected after all (the kidnapped girls, the real electronics thief, etc).

I'm watching it as well and I too find it very interesting. I also am getting to know the characters. I'm not sure how far they can take the storyline OR exactly where it's going but the concept is very intriguing.

Anyone watching the new FBI tv show? I'm enjoying that as well.

Haven't seen the new FBI show, but I grew up watching Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. on the original FBI. My family would gather to watch the FBI, Bonanza, and Ed Sullivan. And I would watch Batman weekly as well, with my father telling me everytime that the Batmobile was really a car made by Lincoln that never made it to production. One TV with 3 channels (sometimes PBS would come in, but not always), and it was a massive 19" TV built into a big wood cabinet.

I'm with SC on "Manifest." It has the promise to be a good show f[i]or one season.[,i] My experience with network TV series is that they keep them going far too long, at the expense of everything that made the series great in the first season. Already, "Manifest" is adding more complications. The test is going to be if they resolve them to our satisfaction, or keep them going without resolution.

So far I'm enjoying it as well. Interesting concept. A tad "Twilight Zone" no???

Thanks for the recommendation. I've been watching way too many Doctor shows lately, The Amsterdam, The Resident, 9-1-1, The Good Doctor. I need a break!

This week's episode wasn't as good as the others. Too many subplots, too much jumping around. You have to wonder why NYPD hasn't packed Michaela off to a psych ward for all the trouble she's causing.
