I watch the first 2 episodes and seems moderately interesting. Anyone else watching?

Binge watching this on DVR ( Showtime ) - this show is really good.

It receives great ratings and reviews.

The acting is outstanding across the board, the entire cast is really good.

Very good show, showing the life’s of people living in the South Side of Chicago.

I like it so far.The lil guy Poppa always has me laughing.

I'm almost all caught up. Just gotta watch episode 6.

I like that they added the Palestinian character ( correct me if I'm wrong on his background) and the cigarette smuggling activity. I'm still trying to figure out Quentin angle and why he return after being in Cuba. What connection he have there and what's his affiliation to this current crew.

Yes , I like that they added that middle eastern Character as well. Its accurate, they have been running the tax stamp scam for a long time. They love to snub there nose at any weak law of America and have the resources ( people) - who are willing to take the risk and flee if caught, they just bring in another group to run the store.

I think Quentins the old boss who retired and came back since he does not like the way things are going down. I also think that Curtis ( the boss of Gang) - may be his Son, so he will spare him.
Just a thought.

Damn after episode six it is painfully obvious that Quentin is not fuckin around. Looks like the dark haired detective is on his payroll too. I also considered the fact that Trice might be his son. They clearly have some sort of connection. Maybe Quentin schooled him when he was a kid, him being his father is a little cliche IMO.

Still enjoying the young boys story line. They're doing a decent job of capturing adolescence in hood, even if it's a lil too innocent lol.

Yes, the younger kids are a good story Line as well, you know that long haired kid ( Jake ) is destined for ruin carrying that piece around.

It was nice that Kevin gave his bike to the girl after seeing how poor they were , I think her name is Maiesha.

My wife said the same thing about Jake.

When I first started watching I thought that kid was a girl..... he needs to either dress different or trim those dreads.

Yes. I'm caught up and Jake going be in juvenile for reckless action or worse. Quentin and Jake's older brother going have a sit down in the next episode. I'm guessing Jake's older brother going to make a deal with Quentin and knock off his superior. I'm still trying figure out the names of these crews and even more which mob affiliations. I'm assuming Quentin and Drive are either GDN or BDN. That rival crew possibly are BPSN , I'm making a theory since that gut who confronted Jake ( while his friend go get his bike back) have 5 point stars tattoo.

BF, I don't think they're going to go into detail about the gangs in Chicago although that would be a great touch. IMO if they were going to name them specifically they would have gotten around to it at this point in the series.

I think they did and the latest episode. Pappa asked Jake which gang is his brother's crew and he replied back "Hustlers" aka 4CH. I'm trying to find the subtitles to make sure I heard correct.

Season finale was pretty good. The characters are all set up for next season. I'm wondering if Quentin sticks around or if his business is done..

I really enjoyed this show. Great characters and story line.
