He suffered Alzheimer’s Disease for years, and apparently was showing signs of it while filming "The Sopranos" forcing David Chase to write him out of the show.

That was a great actor.

He first became fairly famous in a western. I think it was the life and times of Elfago Baca he played a Mexican lawyer who also was very fast on the draw with a gun.

He had a lot of good minor roles. One was Somebody who their likes me. Staring Paul Newman. Sal mineo and Steve McQueen.

Officer and a Gentlemen played Richard Gere father.

Also in a very off beat movie called Cop Killer it is on netflex or Amazon.

Soprano's, vampire movie he was a very versatile actor also in pacinos scare face he was terrific in that. Any many many others.

Rest In Peace

great actor

really embodied a tough guy...even as an older actor he always brought a certain menace to his characters

favorite role Frank Lopez in Scarface

favorite line "So, you want me to believe that Omar was a stoolie because Sosa said so?"

I love the scene in Lost Highway when he beats the guy for tailgating him. I always think of that when someone does it to me.

Great actor IMHO. He was even good in The Sopranos even though he was gone fairly quickly.

I heard that he had a lot of trouble remembering his lines during Season 5 of The Sopranos, so Chases wrote his character out of the show. I might have even heard it on this board back in the day. I don't remember. I don't think they knew he was really that sick at the time.

He was about the only good thing in that movie. Inspired casting choice.

I never saw that movie. That scene made me laugh out loud. He should have ran him over as he was leaving. You got a guy laying in a deserted area why not run him over?
