Survivor: Redemption Island

I don't know about you, but I'm a big Survivor fan and been following it since the beginning. This new season features two Survivor legends fighting against each other. One is Russell Hantz, a guy who to me is the best player to have ever played the game of Survivor. The other one is, Boston Rob Mariano, a guy I FUCKING HATE!!!!

I watched Survivor for the first few seasons, stopped watching for a long time and came back to it for Heroes vs. Villains. Unlike you Vinny, I couldn't stand Russell. The guy was absolutely deluded, just an unlikeable guy. He does have the game to make it to the finale, but he won't ever win because he is clueless with respect to the social aspect of the game.

I think they should do a "Survivor: Wisteria Lane."

Turn those old hags loose on a bunch of twentysomething guys, and whoever survives deserves a million.

Hahahah Survivor: Wisteria Lane. I would sign up for that...I'd do shit to Teri Hatcher I wouldn't even do to a farm animal.

Survivor is about outwitting. While it's true, you need people to get you to the end, you should not have to worry about sore losers. If you outplay me, then you're gonna get my vote. This is what ruined Survivor and why Russell got robbed. He was clearly the best player in the game and everyone recognized it. An entire country voted for him. An entire country is deluded? I don't think so.

Hey, I don't watch Survivor, but don't be dissing the ladies of Wisteria Lane.

I actually do watch it TIS, but I didn't start following it until maybe about a year ago. I've always been a fan of good writing and this show certainly has some exceptionally good writers. I love the dialogue, I especially love Bree's character, Marcia Cross is amazing and I also find Felicity Huffman's acting to be ridiculously good. This is why I'm a fan of the show, but two years ago I would've never thought I'd be saying this about DH.

I recently saw Cross on a rerun of "Cheers," shot in 1989. She played Kirstie Alley's estranged sister. I guess she was about 25 or so at the time. Man, was she gorgeous!

Yeah she still is gorgeous. Some women just don't age and she appears to be one of them. First time I really noticed her was on Melrose Place, where she played the craziest bitch in tv history.

I'm trying to understand VG. Is it a common practice for those from your part of the world to have carnal desires towards female mules? Are you telling me that you have carnal knowledge with female mules?

It's part of the game that you have to scheme to make it to the finale and at the same time, get those same people to vote you to win. Russell lacks this balance. Perhaps he'll have it this season.

As for America's vote - it's a vote ultimately for the controversy and intrigue that he brings.

Like I said before, he has a game strategy and he seems to carry it out to the fullest, but it's flawed.

I also love to watch Survivor. I liked Russel as much as I liked Rupert. When does the new season start?

This is not the first time they've allowed America to vote. As controversial as you think it may be, it's still America's vote.



If anything is flawed, it would have to be the game. I hate to say it, but that's what it appears to be. It makes no sense to have sore losers sit on a jury.

The game is the game. America's vote doesn't determine the winner. The confines and rules of the game do, no matter how much you want your favorite to win.

This season looks very promising. Can't wait to see that Philip moron thrown out. However, I must say that Francesca and Christina are almost as bad. And they're lawyers? What the fuck is this world coming to. Stupid idiots.

I hate Boston Rob, but his Machiavellian ways and strategic moves are definitely worth applauding for here. Christina almost gave him that idol.

Can't believe Russell is out. Ugh. Now if Ralph wins, I will never EVER watch Survivor again.

I forgot Survivor was on last night. I watched Idol instead. I'll watch Survivor on Hulu.com and catch up.

Anyone see the last episode? I think the last episode pretty much proved once and for all, Survivor is not a game for good Christians . Sending Matty back to Redemption Island was absolutely priceless. He also may be the dumbest Christian in Survivor history. I'd love to see his God save him now .

It's good to see Boston Rob in a position where he literally controls the game. He has definitely been proving himself to me. What a solid player.

I watched it. Matty needs to learn how to keep his mouth shut. Maybe this is his plan he has it easy.

Nice to see that Boston Rob finally won.

Boston Rob deserved this more than any other player in this season. He totally outplayed everybody there. Like David said, he controlled their thoughts, he told them what to do, he predicted every move and he executed his strategy brilliantly. I don't think I've ever seen a player as good as Boston Rob. And this is coming from someone who used to hate Boston Rob, but here he totally redeemed himself and proved that he is possibly the best player to have played this game. He's the closest thing to being the Meyer Lansky of Survivor.

Plus he won the 100k favorite player prize.

Yeah that was pretty funny. Matt's expression was PRICELESS. He's gotta be an atheist by now .
