“Try the veal. It’s the best in the city.â€
But – what was the dish? For the curious, it’s best to remember the Chinese proverb: “One who has choice, has troubles.†Here, copied from an actual Louis’ Restaurant menu from 1923 [Edit: Or possibly somewhat later - SV] are a few interesting items – and prices. Veal noted with as asterisk (*).
