Soup season - 08/26/14 03:27 PM
Soup season is coming upon us and I have vowed to have my wife teach me how to make her mothers recipe chicken soup- delicious and her own minestrone. We have also enjoyed having homemade cold Gespacho but now with winter coming up, I want to try making it. Boy, I must really be bored

My wife makes a killer pot of caldo de albondigas, which is a Mexican meatball soup. It's the best soup I've ever had, and I'm not just saying that because she's my wife!

I remember back when I was in middle school and ate at my friend's house for dinner. His mother was French and I got quite a surprise when dipping into a piping cold bowl of potato soup!
My wife does lovely home-made spicy tomato, vegetable and potato and leek soups!! Very tasty and warming at this time of year!!
