Anyone a fan of Greek food?

I found some of my big yiayia's old recipes and would be willing to share

I like some Greek food.

Keftedakia
Soulvaki Gyro
Tiropites
Spanakopitas

ever had baklava? dolmathes?

I've tried Baklava and can take it or leave it.

As for Dolmathes, I'm not into the stuffed grape leaves thing.

Understandable. I'm not a big fan of baklava either. My favorite would definitely be keftedakia. I can eat 'em up like popcorn

I am a big fan of all Greek food, even octopus and that fish egg stuff that begins with T. Love moussaka, stuffed grape leaves with or without meat, spinach pies, roast lamb, souvlaki...ouzo

LOVE Greek food. It's delicious. I would be very happy to have some recipes.

I really don't know anything about Greek food, I'm sorry to say. I absolutely love the Greek Olives though. Does that count?

I used to hang out every night after work in a Greek restaurant/bar, Molyvos. The food is absolutely superb and I suggested a BB get-together there several times (but nobody else seemed interested). They also have a wonderful (and large) wine selection if thats your thing.

Its on 56th Street and 7th Avenue and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone wanting good, authentic Greek food. Their website is having some technical difficulties now but you can Google "Molyvos" and see some of it online.

BTW - Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward are regular visitors there.

You're right. I tried to "sell him" on the wine list (which is extensive) but he wasn't having any of it.
