Are the lost years and godfather returns seperate stories?

can someone comfirm whether or not the godfather returns and the godfather: the lost years are seperate books please?

If Fredo is gay in "The Lost Years", that means they're the same book.

There's a thread somewhere where someone says that "The Lost Years" is the title that was used in the UK.

I actually like it more than the US design, but they should still use the traditional logo.

They couldn't use the original logo for copyright reasons i presume
