Makes me laugh when neymar says he's not there for the money..Football is fucked when you have one the the richest countries in the world bank rolling a club.Dont get me wrong,I wouldn't say no to five hundred grand a week but it's killing the game.
Congrats yourself my friend with the 1-0 victory. Both our teams haven't won by a great margin but who cares, if they win all 34/38 games with one goal difference I'll be a happy man and I reckon you'll be too!!
I saw a post on a soccer site that said Seattle in the MLS averages 40 thousand people a game. I told them bull shit because the American game is not that good to get 40 thousand ticket paying fans. They all got crazy like I insulted them not the American game. It has to be promotions or they are giving away thousands of free tickets to soccer organizations there to get that many people there.
Hey it won't matter soon because that World power North Korea will nuke our west coast in the near future. So no more Seattle any way according to the Washington post
I told them my son lived in Seattle for a year. Trying to start a sales business there. A sales person could make 200 thousand a year which included a 60 thousand base pay. He kept complaint to me that they were satisfied with the 60 thousand base pay. They were not hungry to make money. Then he tried to hire divorced women with children because they would be more hungry to make more money still did not work. So finally they closed it down in Seattle and he came home. Oh he also said you could not get boars head cold cuts there. They must be fucking barbarians there
The problem I have with the American game is when the dribbler is in the up top space in the center of the field there is hardly ever anyone up top center with him to help him who came from the flank. I see the dribbler in the up top space and isolated from his help I get bored very easily.
I am going tonight,so a win is a must to take into the second leg. They are a good side but with the players we now have,we should do them.Signing gylfi sigurdsson is a great statement of intent, but he isn't available for tonight.fingers crossed H.
There is fucking murder here at our ground. The hadjik split fans have kicked of and are throwing seats at our end and fighting the stewards and police. The Everton ninjas have retaliated and are trying to get at them.thank fuck for half time.
Thank you my Dutch brothers.Just got in.Good win to take to Croatia next week..Fucked if I am going there though lol..It al went wrong when they started hitting a ball boy,I sit on the left of the away fans 15 rows up,so had to dodge flying seats and plastic beer bottles.Fuckem anyway,we won.
Not yet, it's still up to the Turks. But the signs are good even his father thinks he will come to Rotterdam. Advocaat also selected him for the crucial match against France this month!
He's a class act.Glad you got him as there was talk liverpool were in for him.The transfer window has just over a week to go,and RK is looking for three more players.
Would have took a point before kickoff but also gutted we didn't take the three.RK rested a couple of players with Thursday in mind..Rooney looks like he's got a new lease of life.
It ain't over till the fat lady sings, we can still finish second. This 4-0 doesn't help though, but France has a powerful squad in particular if they play in Paris.

Come on, let's be honest, they played abominably..
I am not really a great fan of one particular team.
I am interested in the actual game or anything new that can be used to play a better game or a safer game. I have many things on concussions.
I just heard of a new study that was completed on how to tell if an infant had a concussion. They have a saliva test evidently they can tell if a baby had a concussion from testing the babies saliva. Someone told me that on a soccer publication. Then he said it might be applied to older people as well. If that is true it can also be used for the youth and adult soccer player or any player in any sport. I guess they will do another study on the adult player. If it is true it could be ground breaking especially if the test can show results right on the field after an injury.
I went the game Hollander. We were good for five minutes then a total shambles. We have to many midfielders who play in the ten role. Was very drunk Saturday night lol.
City have always been hot an cold In the champions league and you guys caught them hot..No disgrace in a defeat like that,as long as feyenoord do the business in there next game.Chin up boys, its early days..We have Atalanta tonight in the Europa, and after our performance on Saturday, the boys need a result later.

Bad day at black rock against Atalanta.Somethings wrong here..Thers been talk of players falling out with koeman over the past few weeks, but can't believe the players have downed tools. We are absolutely dreadful.Me and my son are going to old Trafford on Sunday as we have man united.Got a feeling we're going to get bummed to bits.Vasaline please.

They play without confidence and passion and at the end RK is responsible after he spend all those millions.
These next few weeks will make us or break us.I want him to succeed but he's got to drop Rooney from the number 10 role and give sigurdsson and klassen the job..Football does my tits in sometimes Hollander but it's what we are lol.
Tonight the US lost to that great soccer power Trinidad and Tabago 2-1 so the US is out of the WC in Russia. Oh brother one goal was an own goal and the other was a fluke.
After already missing the Euros we get a little bit used to it. Yesterday was Robben's last match, so now we have to start from scratch. The real problem is the Dutch FA they don't have a long term plan like the Germans for example.

I think the Germans won the last men’s World Cup because they had a perfect game plan. Their team was made up mostly between their two top teams. Dortmund And Bayern Munich. Plus all the best strikers In their league. Plus they had the best sweeper keeper in the World. They could also play in a lot of different ways.
That is why they won and why they might just win again in Russia. So they knew how to play together.
I will still watch the best teams play on television, but that’s it. We will only get better in the future maybe. One thing we did which I hate we divided our team into two parts. One played the first half and one in the second half. We should have started our best team in the first half. On Howard one of the hardest saves by the keeper is a shot going away from from the keeper. He has to turn his back and try to block the ball when standing on the near post with the near arm on that far post. Howard never got the height needed to block either ball. Very hard save yes, but not an impossible save if you get the height you need to make it after you turn your back. He should go.
Oh you know we banned heading for young kids now. They don’t do that in Holland or Germany.
I don't think the signings were that bad, the really great players didn't want to come to Everton, they want a top 5 club.
Koeman and Gullit would be perfect for the Dutch team fingers crossed.
That was exactly what I said paisan..
The timing is perfect, he can take over from Dickie and hopefully get us qualified for the European Championships. We can't fuck it up for a third time in a row!!
The security guy look like the guy that killed all the guys on bikes here the other day. The guy was from Uzbekistan they might make good bouncers if you let them bring a truck in the place.
Yes no Italy in the WC. What is this World coming to?
Italy is in shock after the national team failed to qualify for the World Cup for the first time since 1958. The Azzurri could do no better than a 0-0 draw against Sweden in Monday's playoff return, so they will not be going to next year's tournament in Russia after losing the first leg 1-0 on Friday. The press and sports pundits used words such as "apocalypse", "disaster" and "humiliation" to describe the four-time world champions' failure to qualify.
i do don't think so... they are not as good as they were 4 years ago. with reus out again, and neuer his injured and will probably be back before the WC but he won't be in good shape, and the same goes for ozil who is not so good at the moment. i think france or argentina will win the WC.
city looks great ! maybe the best team right now. cr7 really bad this season, i think the ban he had this start of the season caused him to lose his shape...

I thought Argentina was great in 1986 when they won with Diegoand company. But they have not had those players helping their star since then.
I think Messi just does not have enough great players with him on this team. So I doubt if they have a chance to win.
Real madrid lost points again today, when they had a chance to take advantage of barca draw too. I really think that this year barcelona will crowend as the champions
Vvd will make liverpool strong as hell ! They already had great attack Their midfield his decent, i think they need keita. Their Defence will be great too now.
His career hasn't be easy so far because in Holland no one really believed in him and he never played for one of our topteams. So I am very happy for him he did it all by himself through hard work.

100% agreed H, but a 100 million dollars for a defender?!?
I hope Van Dijk will play very well from the get-go, otherwise that number will hang over his head like a dark cloud, because in that case the media will remind the public of that figure every time they write about him. The guy can't help it that the football world is going crazy with these insane transfer figures..
City on fire they will surely win the league. But liverpool needs ticket to the ucl so they have to finish 2-4. And i also think they need to keep coutinho but if he leaves then they will have to find a proper replacement for him.

True, but he could help them in the CL in February they play Porto so they have a chance to go far and getting millions back.
Clothing sponsor Nike may have betrayed a major winter transfer. On Twitter, the brand and also sponsor of FC Barcelona placed a tweet in which it calls on people to order the Barcelona shirt with the name of Philippe Coutinho. "Now get the magician's shirt," the text says with the message. With that, Nike seems - whether accidentally or not - to know more about the future of the Brazilian midfielder of Liverpool, who has been linked to Barcelona for months and last summer did not see a transfer to Camp Nou at the last minute.
Too bad feyenoord don't have any chance to win the league this season. But i really hope RVP will help them next season and maybe they will even get to the champions league next season too

If we finish above ajax and win the cup I'm more than happy, two of our best defenders have returned from injuries. Next week against ajax!

this is probably going to be his last club to play for i really hope he will get back to his form (even 70% is good) and will make feyenoord champions again next season.

Yes we also could come close to ajax and psv this season. When everybody is fit like now it's a good squad.
rvp ! my favorite all time player !!! now i hope to see him win trophies for feyenoord and retire as king ! hollander from now on i will start to watch feyenoord play live now haha
Rvp played well last night He clearly not in shape yet but he will get better with time (as long as he play of course)
It was a great moment even Utrecht fans applauded his return. Some people here have doubts about him. But I'm pretty sure he takes the team to another level !
Van Marwijk goes to the WC with the socceroos good choice by the Aussies.
Newcastle Utd is looking to snatch Jorgensen from Feyenoord, but the club is only letting him go if they pay at least 23 to 24 million euro. That way they would make a profit of 20 million euro..

Lingard is in the form of his life, not the best player in the world, but he's worked hard to retain his place and at the moment he's undroppable. He's a sure thing to make the England squad for the world cup on current form..
Nope i only support United. I want to see United do well, but i think the glory days are over and it will be a while before we win the league again. It all went wrong when Sir Alex retired..
Don't lose hope ! It's normal for couple of shock years after the greatest manager ever retired. our future looks bright with martial, rashford, angel gomes
I think City will dominate for the foreseeable future. But since i've been in Germany i've not followed the premiership like i used too. I always check for the result but i don't get upset if United lose anymore..
Koeman is set to manage the Dutch national football team up to the 2022 World Cup, on Friday afternoon RK formed the technical staff of the Dutch team at the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam.

Very good news!! He was my nr. 1 Dutch candidate..
My first choice in general would've been a foreign coach for a change, maybe Luis Enrique or Claudio Ranieri..
Real Madrid are having a bad season in the league but they need to stand by Zidane, what good does sacking him do. After last season and him winning the champions league back to back they need to stand by him and show a bit of support.
That's the thing who knows if it's really zidane who was the responsible for last season ? I mean look cr 7 having bad season and all of a sudden real are shit Maybe it's all thanks to cr last season success

I doubt if President trump cares what Diego says about him.
He was the best player I ever saw play, but he looks like a fat midget now.
He can still probably hit the goal over hang with the ball five times in a row without moving to get the ball. But the guy let the coke get control over him. He is actually still coaching?
When he played he hated his coaches even Dr. Bilardo who was a terrific coach and person.

He's managing in United Arab Emirates and probably earning a fortune..,Considering he's arguably the greatest football ever, nobody can take him seriously as a coach.
I think that messi is the best ever And i hope he will win the world cup this summer
He needs more players then is already on his team. If you remember Maradona team that won it in 1986. That team had a ton of great players.
I think Germany has a team that can win a WC again.
You mean that Foots?
I was too young to have seen the '86 Worldcup but from what I've picked up from documentaries, books and the media in general, Argentina's win was that more a testament to Maradona's brilliance because the only good players besides him were Burruchaga and Valdano..
Maradona is the reason Argentina won the 1986 WC, without him they wouldn't have come close to winning. Messi has always been surround by world class players. But still one of the best ever no doubt, his numbers and records speak for themselves.
Would Napoli have won the Serie A without Maradona, probably not.
I always whent for pele as the best ever, when i was growing up.But over time I've gone for maradona.Messi needs to take a couple of world cups by storm to nudge them two IMO.

Oh I would never forget about the sensational Dutch players H..Cruyff is absolutely in the top five, but I would go for zidane, than gullit.I mean for me,the Brazilian ronaldo is also one of the best..

Yeah we probably have a similar top 10, Maradona and Gullit are also youth sentiment.
The 1986 how many great players besides Maradona. They had Valdano, Burachaga great keeper Pompidou he lost a finger in practice. Had his wedding ring on it got caught on a nail holding up the net good bey finger and at least two or three other players.
When they did get behind which was not often they came right back. Valdano was a great finisher.

Pele had the best body type for our game at the time. Plus a good passer. He score most of his goals in the old Brazilian league they were not noted for their great defenses back then

I have a friend who is Dutch who coaches in the United States and is of Dutch. Loves Cryuff and why not he changed the game to what we know it today.
When I played I was a back they never let me attack. Cryuff got everyone into the attack. My coach did let us beat the first defender. That is how we created space for others. Plus he invented the Cryuff move where you can change your field of play without help from team mates.

How about Cruyff and Gullit?
As good as Gullit was, he can't be considered one of the greatest, i could think of 50 better players.. Of course your entitled to your opinion..
LOL he is def top 10 Gullit won the Euros in 88 and three Serie A titles and two European Cups with Milan. He won the Ballon d'Or in 1987 and was named the World Soccer Player of the Year in 1987 and 1989.
George Best in 1990: "Ruud Gullit is a great player by any standards. He has all the skills. He's not afraid to do things with the ball. And he looks as if he's enjoying every second of it. By my reckoning that's what makes him an even better player than Maradona."
I don't agree he was better, but came very close. There is huge respect between the two. Oh man what a battles we have seen between them they made each other better!
When Maradona won the Italian championships with Naples. He had two other attacking players to work off of. Remember they called them Magica. It stood for Maradona, Giordono and the Brazilian star Careca.

Each to their own my friend..
Sure some people said Van Basten was better. Best, Garrincha so many top players.
Van Basten was a terrific striker but was unfortunate with injuries. Had he played a normal career and not retired with injuries then he could have been up there as on of the best strikers ever.
I've always preferred defenders with me being one. Paulo Maldini and Franco Barasi where for me one of the best ever.
Maldini’s father was a terrific youth coach who taught his players man defense. Problem was when they hired him to coach the men’s national team. By that time none of their players played man defense. That was why the men’s national team did not do well under his father.
Former Celtic and Manchester United player and Ireland International Liam Miller has passed away at the young age of 36 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a few months ago.
He scored a cracking goal in the first Ireland I ever attended (3-0 v Sweden).

I'm super excited for the champions league next week !
Can't remember the last time i got excited for a football match, it's been a long time. Football is not what it used to be and has been ruined by stupid amounts of money..
I always thought the game was always perfect. Even when they made changes to try and get more scoring.
When they changed the offside position rule. So you could be offside as long as you that offside positioned player did not effect the play. I thought if the keeper even looked at the offside position player that could effect the play so offside should be called against that offside positioned player.
Bottom line is if you were skillful and can control the ball in two touches or less you can still score not matter how the defense is numbers up against you. That was always true and it is true today. But if you cannot control the ball within those two touches most of the time you will not score against a great team defense.
That means you should always practice your skill work no matter how old you are. At a certain age most trainers think you don’t have to work on skills as much as you get older. But that my friends is bull shit.
Also the more ways you can attack the better.
Best advice I ever got from a coach was not if your winning don’t change what your doing. It was if your winning always change what your doing and make it better. Then you for years and hardly ever lose a game.
Juventus were dreadful yesterday. It was apparent early on that Spurs were good for an away goal and that Juventus were prone to collapse.
I can't see Juventus winning in London.
This could be the beginning of English domination in Europe.
Spurs and Liverpool have overtaken the likes of Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus IMO.
I have a funny feeling Arsenal will go in through the backdoor by winning the Europa League too.
As has been said, Napoli are one of their rivals for that, but surely they will concentrate on winning Serie A for the first time approximately 30 years.
If any English club go onto win the champions league if could well be Man City, they have been incredible this season, on a another level to any other team in the premiership. But i guess that what a billion pound of investment over a 10 year period does but now it's finally paying off..
I'm super excited for the champions league next week !

It also has become the most corrupt sport imo.
It's getting to the stage where the 20 richest clubs in Europe will all be English.
Take away Barca, Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich and there was probably more money spent on transfers in the Premier League than there was in the rest of Europe combined.
Are any English clubs actually owned by English people anymore?
Football is losing its identity.
At least the football in Italy, Spain, Germany and France isn't losing its culture.
It is also Mourinho this is how he want them to play this is how he wins trophies. but if you want attacking football United should have kept Van Gaal.
Van Gaal as good as he was, played dull possession football. There was a time when Van Gaal was in charge that United went 11 home games without scoring in the first half..
Man Utd fans need to realize that times have moved on and it will be a long time until we win the premiership again. We spend all this money on players just to play dull defensive football.. I think Pep could get this team playing where as Jose still thinks it's 2005.
Yeah that is the dutch way of playing football, it may be outdated in todays football world. But if you have the right players i still believe you can play Total Football.
Buffon said in a grief-stricken Instagram post: “Ciao dear Asto,
“I rarely publicly express my thoughts on a person, because I always allowed the beauty and unique nature of relationships, of reciprocal respect and affection, to avoid being used or misused by those who don’t have the decency to respect certain bonds.
“In your case, I feel the need to make an exception to the rule, because you have a young wife and family who are suffering, but above all a little girl, who deserves to know that her father was in every way A GOOD PERSON… a TRULY GOOD PERSON…
“You were the best expression of an old-fashioned world, one that people have left behind, with values like altruism, elegance, politeness and respect towards others.
“Compliments genuinely, you were one of the best sporting figures I ever came up against.
what i mean is that i want to see a good attacking football instead of parking the bus... i rather see us more offensive and risking the defensive part in order to win and score more goals !
If your team is very hard to score against and you can stop the counter you will win most of your games even if you score 1 or two goals a game.
But if you let in a lot of goals your probably will lose most of your games. Because you will hardly ever be able to score enough goals to win a game.
My idea when I used to say we played a good game. Was always try to counter an opponent right after we won the ball. Before the opponent could transition to defense. If we could not start it by the third pass. Then we would play a possession game.
So it took a lot of hours on our practice field before I would say we played a good game.
A lot of people called the way we played the game the Italian way.
When you get a lot of 0-0 draws at the professional level. It means on of two things. One if you play a better game the other team can get a draw because they are very familiar with the game your playing. Sometimes familiarity looks like parity to the untrained eye.
Two you might be better but your team just doesn’t match up well against that one particular team. That is the hardest to over come. Matchups are very important. You can move your players around to get better match ups in a particular game. You want to get a better match up against your opponents individually.
That why in the course of the game you might move a player from the left flank to the right flank to get a better matchup there. Or keep both players on a flank to get a numerical advantage on one side of the field. Hit the free player get a lot more crosses to the other side to a good finisher.
Best advice I ever got from a manager even if your game is great. Change it and make it even better.
Arsenal are such a weird team. They have been on a bad run of late but then they go and beat AC Milan 2-0 at the San Siro in the Uefa Cup..
I always said this was going to happen. Milan are a calamity at the moment and the experience of Wenger was always going to tell over two legs against the inexperience of Gattuso. Milan need someone like Carlo Ancelotti to get them back on track. For too long they have been employing ex-players as managers (Leonardo, Seedorf, Inzaghi) and it never works. They need someone with experience and knowhow, not "balls", like Gattuso.
I feared Arsenal would qualify for the CL through the backdoor like Man Utd last season and now Atletico Madrid are the only team left they should really fear.
Great comeback by Juve against Spurs the other night. Excellent, composed finish by Dybala for the winner and what an impact down the right by Lichsteiner after coming on.
well zlatan left i wish him all the best ! i wonder who will be our summer signing who will get the no.10 shirt de niro you have any favorite player you wish to see ? i hope dybala or griezmann.
We play England tonight, since a long time I'm looking forward to 'Orange'. A hell of a job for Ronald Koeman with practice games against England, Portugal,Italy and Belgium. In the UEFA Nations League, the opponents are Germany and France.
The mood here has completely changed after the 3-0 against Portugal things look better a lot of young talent and RK is the right man to build a new team. We are even back in the Fifa top 20 passing Iceland
Real Madrid were awful tonight and still left Bayern with a mountain to climb. Lewandowski and Muller completely anonymous; a 35 year old their biggest attacking threat (Bayern).
Lewandowski fluffing that one on one at the end was a killer.
Can't help but feel it would have been a different story if Coman, Alaba and Vidal were available, and if Robben didn't go off injured. They ran out of ideas in the second half.
I think Liverpool can do it this year. Both defenses will cede chances, but I think Liverpool will have more in the final third.
A lot will depend on Ronaldo, who was dreck tonight.

This game was always the game of the season between 98-2005 and decided the title many times, but now this is just another game and has had no relevance to the out come of the title for many years. This will be Wengers lat visit to OT as an Arsenal manager. I'm sure he'll play his 2nd team has Arsenal have the 2nd leg of the Europe league against Madrid coming up..
My favorite professional team was always Manchester United with Sir Alex as their manager. Why, because he tried to win every game even the ones that did not matter.
Always even his 2nd team was super good. Because he knew how to manage a team so they could still would win games. He never really had a whole second team in a game. He had a lot of starters in with some non starters. His non starters were still very very good.
I was also a big juventus fan. When they came here to play a game at giants stadium I was there with a hundred of my soccer acquaintances most of whom were italian. Then they played Manchester United. Talent wise both team were similar. But sir Alex used that talent much better then the juventus manager did. We left disappointed but from that day I was a sir Alex fan.
Juventus manager divided his talent half his starters played the first half and the second half of his starters played the last half. It’s hard to win when you do that and he lost to a better manager.
A few days after Mother’s Day Ramadan starts. Any one know how muslem players deal with that? Meaning the praying 5 days and more importantly the fasting?
I had some muslem players and I know how we felt with it during the season and during tournament play.

Some teams with a lot of muslims wil train late more than an hour after sundown so they can eat first others will train less hard only on matchday it could be a real problem they ate as late as possible before the game.
On the praying 5 Times a day. They can combine the praying to three times day.
On the fasting if you had a tournament you could move away for a few weeks like if you played in Mexico two reasons to train in the higher altitude. If you had money you could always move the team a couple of weeks before the game or longer. If they are away from home they are dispensed with the fasting until they return home.
That is how Iran's National team deals with it when playing an international.
I left it up to them if they could play or not. They told me they can still play even though they fasted. I had enough other players so I did not have to play them. I see them in practice and decide before the game how long they could play or if they would play. They always played
not crazy... tbh the dutch national team are not that strong as they used to rvp wesley sneijder and robben are old they don't have any world class midfielder they do have great defense. same with you guys (usa) Italy are fine they just had bad luck (although they don't have good striker )
Matt Doherty, who can play LB or RB, and played mostly as a wing back this season for Wolves, will be playing Premier League football next season. He's of Dutch descent on his mother's side of the family but recently made his Ireland debut.
I always thought Holland dropped the ball by not approaching him, considering how long it took Ireland to cap him.
He'd definitely be an asset to Holland now, which, in fairness, mightn't have been the case 10 years ago.
Lazio 2-1 up after 78 minutes and on course to qualify for the Champions League at the expense of Inter, who needed to win.
Then, Stefan De Vrij concedes a penalty, Inter equalize, and then go on to win the game after a series of questionable tactical decisions by Lazio coach, Simone Inzaghi.
Stefan De Vrij had already agreed to join Inter in the summer.

Robben and Sneijder are gone, we need a couple of years to get back where we belong, dont worry the future looks bright. The Dutch team under 17 has been crowned the European champion in England. The team won in the final after penalty kicks from the peers of Italy.
Because of the absence of my country Holland at the World Cup, I will be supporting out neighbors Belgium: The Red Devils!!!
I can't understand, for the life of me, why their Spanish coach Roberto Martinez has left the superb midfielder Radja Nainggolan out of his selection for the World Cup:
Klopp can do it I believe. Three times in a row for Real won't happen because it never happened!
Yeah, I'm rooting for The Reds hard too.. Klopp lets them play such attractive, attacking football and that should be rewarded, because we're seeing less and less of it at that level in this day and age unfortunately
Totally agree Billy the Germans developed a great style of football, Bayern, Dortmund. To me it's clear they will win the world cup.
I'm rooting for our southern neighbors next month, but I'm not against Germany anymore like I was in the 90's.. But rooting for them is still a bridge too far H
Following in the footsteps of the great Andoni Goikoetxea, Marco Materazzi, Walter Samuel, Ricardo Carvalho..
Was this for real, did he really have this diabolical laugh when Salah left the pitch òr was it just sneaky editing?
I'm not so quick anymore with my judgement, as I've been hoodwinked and bamboozled (love those words) more than once in this new digital age. Man, I feel old saying this..

Belgium could do it this time they have plenty of world class players, but they miss the winner mentality of a Germany.
portuguel with cr 7 have big chance also they have great player when you see their squad maybe lack of quality center back (except from pepe) but overall they are great !

When you are still calling up guys like Bruno Alves and Ricardo Quaresma, you know you have pretty shit depth in your squad.
Pepe is getting on as well, and his temperament is suspect too.
All in all, you would worry for them after Ronaldo retires.
Apparently England have only a 4 % chance of winning the WC which sounds about right. Im not expecting much from this England team to be honest. Maybe for a change we could surprise a few teams.
poor messi... i hope he will explode next game !!!
I don't think he will ever get the status of Maradona in Argentina.
100 % You have to admit... Messi vs maradona on who is better we can argue day and night... (for me it's messi) But on who have better teammates in argentina, then maradona's team were a lot better Messi have to take them all on his back
It's good for the game that Argentina are in the last 16. Feel sorry for Sampaoli though. Nobody celebrated with him after Rojo goal and he walked straight down the tunnel at the match's conclusion.
Anyone see Maradona giving two middle fingers after the goal before the camera turned away?!
Banega was immense and Pavon made a difference when he came on, but Mascherano has to be dropped for Biglia for the next game.
Credit to Rojo for a fine finish, obviously, but what about that ball from Mercado? Put it on a plate for him.

hollander i don't understand a word haha but i guess you celebrating because the germans got knock out
The last time they didn´t make it to the second round was Hitler´s Germany in 1938.
For some reason I don't gloat as much about Germany losing than I did in the 90's. The grudge I had for them has almost diminished it seems..
I hope very much our Southern neighbors Belgium take the cup. I live 5 minutes away form the border, so they call me a 'reserve Belg' all the time anyway lol
Two awful teams tonight. It doesn't bode well that it took a penalty in normal time and the lottery of penalties to dispatch a poor Colombia team who were missing their best player.
I maintain England might get as far as the semi-finals, but they will be found out when they meet a proper team, ala Belgium.
I just hope to God Croatia get back to peak form against Russia.
By the way, how on earth was an American allowed to referee this match?
Would they allow a Russian to referee a Serbia match? A Welshman to referee a Scottish match? A Spaniard to referee a Colombia match? Americans and English are allies who share a language
If I was a Colombian I would be raging about that.
LETS GO CROATIA. Fuck England, they are all so hyped up like they have already won da World Cup. Even if they get past Croatia, there is no way they are winning against Belgium / France with the performance they've shown so far.
Just a step too far for Belgium tonight. Hazard and De Bruyne looked inventive, but lacked a real forward threat and didn't have anything to threaten young Pavard and Hernandez out wide.
Varane and Umtiti stopped everything tonight, which is good news when England have looked so threatening from setpieces.
Surely Croatia will have too much in midfield for England tomorrow, and Vida and Kramaric have looked so immense at either end.
Not a great game but how good was Mbappe. He looks like he's playing in the street with his mates..Just a pity he's playing in a farmers league with PSG..
strong rumors about ronaldo going to juventus... every summer there are rumors about cr7 going to leave madrid so who knows...
Juventus was already pretty good before him right? Other than playing an old FIFA 13 game and watching the World Cup generally IF we can even make it which is rare these days, I don't really follow soccer even though like hockey I think it's one of the most exciting when points are being scored. But surely that would make Juventus one of the best teams around wouldn't it?
Croatia motivated by England’s lack of respect, says Luka Modric • Real Madrid midfielder says pundits underestimated his side • ‘They should be more humble and respect their opponents’

well yeah he can make them the best team. although they will need another creative midfielder
It regrettably reminded me of what Ron Atkinson said about black footballers.
Imagine the uproar if an Irishman mimicked a Jamaican patois or an African accent to put down another pundit. Or if Lee Dixon started speaking like Ivan Drago to Slaven Bilic.
Croatia motivated by England’s lack of respect, says Luka Modric • Real Madrid midfielder says pundits underestimated his side • ‘They should be more humble and respect their opponents’
Roy Keane echoes Modric's sentiments on ITV analysis and Ian Wright's only response is to make fun of his accent.
I was rooting for Croatia, especially after I seen England's Goalie talk shit there towards the end to an injured Croat laying on the ground near him. Not long after that is when Croatia went up in extra time.
If it finishes 2-1 it's an awful way to win a final. Griezmann dived for the free and the second call was marginal at best.
As expected, Croatia the only team trying to play football here; despite the scoreline, they've been broadly more impressive.
France look culpable on crosses and set pieces, especially towards the end of the half. With a bit more anticipation in the box, Croatia can still punish them.
When clubs like Brighton and Fulham are spending >60m on players you know there is something seriously wrong with football.
With the amount Everton have spent in this window, there is simply no excuse for challenging for a Champions League place. I mean, Tottenham have spent nothing, Man United have spent next to nothing.
Liverpool, too, have had more than enough time to work out the kinks in their squad. They really should be challenging for the title.
It's kind of weird that a Premier League season is starting without Arsene Wenger.
I'm going to go with Man City with Chelsea to pip Liverpool to second. If Tottenham had shown a little more ambition I would have had them as contenders.
Did you know the leading Irish goalscorer last season was Shane Long/Jeff Hendrick/Ciaran Clark with two goals each.
I compare Ireland to Wales and Scotland in terms of the ability of their players, even though Ireland generally qualify for more tournaments. But, you see Wales bringing through players like Gareth Bale, Joe Allen and Aaron Ramsey, and even Scotland are bringing through players like Callum McGregor, who got a move to Southampton this summer, Kieran Tierney and Ryan Gauld, who earned a move to Sporting Lisbon.
11 total goals scored by Irish players last season. Roughly the same amount of Scottish players playing in midfield and forward positions yet they all seem to score more on average than their Irish counterparts in recent times.
I was hoping the likes of Jeff Hendrick and Shane Long would push on after a fine Euros in the case of the former, and a strong season under Ronald Koeman in the case of the latter, but it just hasn't happened. Robbie Brady, too, had a fine Euros, but hasn't really pushed on either, although this is partly due to injury problems. This is another thing. Players like Brady, James McCarthy, Stephen Ireland and Darron Gibson have all suffered with injury problems in recent seasons, which hasn't helped.
I think we are going to see less and less Irish players in the Premier League as more money is pumped into the game and foreign managers continue to become the norm rather than the exception. Some of this may be attributed to poor development at local level and also to the reputation Ireland have developed playing attritional football under Giovanni Trapattoni and Martin O'Neill.
I really wish more Irish players would consider playing in other European countries, but I think they are only, by and large, comfortable playing in the UK.
So it looks like Ireland will continue having to source their players from the Championship in the foreseeable future!
It's quite depressing.
I mentioned injuries. Seamus Coleman is probably the one player who is/was capable of moving to a top four team, but he was injured horrifically in a match against Wales and that probably ended any lingering hopes of getting a big move. In any case, I think he's too loyal (like a lot of Irish players) and the stigma of being Irish would probably also hinder a move. I can't understand why Moyesie didn't sign him up for Man United!
there are more uk players in lower english leagues, but not enough in the premier league. well let's be honest here it's not about money and foreign players, i thinks it's due to them having less and less good players (for instance england next generation look pretty good, with players like foden, angel gomes, mctominay, jadon sancho, luke shaw, james maddison, ryan sessegnon, marcus rashford, trent alexander arnold, marcus edwards, ben chilwell, and more who have brilliant future ahead of them, unlike the rest of the uk... they should work more and more on developing talented and good young players, the PL having so much foreigners players made the local boys work hard to get minutes that what made this WC so good for them, and the next generation will be good also ! and btw moe are you irish or italian ?
In the past foreigners in the PL were true stars Cantona, Keane, Vialli, Zola, Ginola, Gullit, Bergkamp, Van Nistelrooy etc.., now you have too many average foreigners.
I’d like to keep up with international football more, going forward. The major tournaments, at least. I had a blast this year putting together a proper rig with surrounds for the FIFA cup. I wouldn’t mind experiencing something like that more often than every 4 years.
I know there’s the Champions League, which sounds like an awesome concept. All the best *clubs* of the region (not countries) going head to head in a knockout battle. What other tournaments would you consider “must watch†material?

Surely the spending in the Premier League is unsustainable. Didn't Fulham spend over 100 mil this summer? Imagine the pressure if they get relegated. The amount of money spent all down the leagues is insane. Look at the stadium Coventry built, and what happened to Darlington. Surely it's gonna collapse on itself eventually.

Ethnically mostly Irish, no Italian.
well after the amount of spending wolves, fulham and everton made this year the premier league will be very compatible. every team can beat each other except for city and liverpool who will go all the way (and maybe chelsea and spurs too). this just show how much strong the league is when even the "small teams" are so strong... also moe do you think we will see england winning the next euro ? they have a great chance ! also cr7 and portugal and france have a chance...
Yes his move to Italy is huge, I read Juventus' shares have grown 55.15 per cent on the stock exchange since July 1, increasing from 0.660 euro to 1.024 euros.
Primera Division and the Bundesliga are also great leagues to follow.
real looks great !!! also liverpool so far looks awesome i think they win the pl this season i'm waiting for today's united game de niro you got any thoughts ? if we lose today i won't be surprise if they fire mourinho
A much needed win for Man Utd before the international breaks. A long way to go if we are too think about challenging for the title. These days it's no good just defending like a Mourinho team. We need to attack like Liverpool and Man City.
Dorados de Sinaloa signs Don Diego Maradona.. I don't necessarily think it's such a good idea, considering our beloved Diego's past narcotics problems.
Besides the Europa League and the Champions League there are plans for another European Cup, which is to be held for the first time in 2021. Up to the 1998/1999 season, there were three European cup competitions.
Just stick Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, PSG, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool in their own league and be done with it.
Matt Doherty. Irish footballer with a Dutch mother. Can play LB, RB and is comfortable in a back four or as a wing back. Plays for Wolves in the Premier League and pundits have been raving about his performances this season. Still eligible for Netherlands because Martin O'Neill keeps selecting inferior players ahead of him and seems to have a personal grudge against him.
When asked about his eligibility for the Netherlands Doherty said something like [paraphrasing] "If I can't get into the Ireland team then I have no chance of getting into the Netherlands team."
I don't think Doherty getting into the Dutch team is all that far fetched though. Netherlands depth is nowhere as strong as it used to be, and as I said, Doherty is playing in the best league in the world under a fantastic manager, and can cover several different positions.
He's a markedly better player than Nathan Ake or Patrick Van Aanholt for example.
If I were you or Billy I would get on to the KNVB and alert them to his eligibility. I know people who've contacted the Irish federation to alert them of players eligible for us.
Yes I would love to see him play for Ireland but part of me would find it hilarious if an Irish born and raised player was lost to another country out of the management team's incompetence.
It would be the cherry on top of the Declan Rice sundae.
Interesting Moe I will watch him more closely now. I haven´t heard anything from the Dutch FA about him. Real Madrid star Marco Asensio also has a Dutch mother but he choose for Spain. His mother, Maria Willemsen, died of cancer when he was 15.

I guarantee you Martin O'Neill will find a reason not to play him in IRL's games against Denmark & Wales, even though IRL's first choice LB and first choice RB are out and Doherty is the best performing Irish player in England ATM.
Well, Doherty has played competitively for Ireland now so that's that.
I think Holland dropped the ball not pursuing him. He beat Hazard and Mane to Player of the Month for September, and from his body language and quotes to the media I think he could've been swayed towards Holland if they showed the slightest interest in him.
Germany are fairly shit now, huh? Don't seem to have the players coming through anymore.
Timo Werner looks pretty awful from what I've seen of him.
And guys who are still relatively young, like Gotze and Reus, haven't really fulfilled their early potential.
Even Muller seems to be going backwards during what should be his peak after a barnstorming few years as a youngster. Not having one set position, playing as a false 9 and all, has probably hampered him a bit.
Robin van Persie will not renew his contract at Feyenoord again. The captain regards this as the last season of his career. Then he has been professional footballer at the highest level for more than eighteen years, most of which he played in the English Premier League.
i wonder who real will appoint as manager. i have a feeling that they will need couple of years to get back to the top cause they weren't ready enough for the day after cr7
Germany followed Holland many youngsters in the squad and the Bayern starlets Serge Gnabry, Joshua Kimmich and Niklas Sule helped the Germans to a dominant win over Russia. (3-0)
2-0 !!! Congratulation our dutch friend ! Be honest what do you prefer â€a new mob tv series like The Sopranos and Gomorrah or your beloved Country winning the euro ?
Frenkie de Jong will be a world class player, the way he reads the game he reminds me of Cruijff.
only him ? what about... depay ! de ligt ! dumfries ! and more ! you guys have on of the brightest future talents in the world !
True and many youngsters still play in Holland should be interesting where they play next season, they will go to the big clubs and that will raise our level even more.
About Van Persie he will probably play against FC Groningen next weekend.
We played poor (again). They just can not get the ball quick enough to the attackers. Midfield is terrible and our backs really suck this way you never can compete with ajax and psv both teams play very well in the league.
Congrats Meyer, Solskjaer the first manager to win his first four matches since the legendary Sir Matt Busby lol.
I still wouldn't give him the job permanently. Roberto Di Matteo won the Champions League with Chelsea. Guus Hiddink had a positive effect when he was brought in to fight fires at Chelsea.
I'd say it's a quick fix and not something that can be sustained, but giving him the job till the end of the season is looking like a masterstroke.
It's surely Zidane's job long-term if he wants it.
16-year old Ki-Jana Hoever can now call himself the youngest Liverpool player with minutes in the FA Cup ever. In addition to Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum, Hoever is the third Dutchman at The Reds.
On Saturday Chong at United, Sunday Sandler at City and today Hoever at Liverpool. While the current Orange is still in full bloom, the next guys are ready.
Hollander you guys sure have some wonderful future sqaud !!! In 2026 WC you guys for sure have a great chance of winning (even in 2022...). I also hope pogba and martial will be fit for sunday's game vs spurs ! Our first tough game since liverpool...
The only position uncertain is central attack we only have Memphis, but Daishawn Redan (17) of Chelsea and Joshua Zirkzee (17) of Bayern are very talented so that looks good.
rumors on couthino to united that's weird he is a lw and we already have martial and sanchez and angel gomes the youngster we need a cb or two and a rb
6 wins in a row, I think. Do they keep faith in Solskjaer or pursue Pochettino or Zidane. I believe Pochettino said that he wants to remain at Spurs for many years, like Wenger did at Arsenal.
Personally I think Solskjaer is a very good quick fix but that they should reconsider during the summer.
By all means if they rip it up in the Champions League it will make the decision more favorable in regards to Solskjaer.
No disrespect to Solskjaer but it seems the players had downed tools under Mourinho.
De Gea already said Solskjær had restored 'happiness' that's so important in getting good results even more as tactics. Guys like Van Gaal and Mourinho are so demanding in this time and age you got to be more loose as a manager. If Ole also can restore the playing style of Sir Alex's teams he indeed deserves a chance.
FC Barcelona has defeated Paris Saint-Germain in the battle to win Frenkie de Jong. This would make De Jong the most expensive Dutch player ever and relieve Virgil van Dijk. Liverpool paid 84.4 million euros to Southampton for the defender.
DE Jong have great potential! Barca is the right place for him...
Yes barca wants to rebuild and this guy fits in their way of playing the primera division is also much better than the french league. Now lets see what is gonna happen with De Ligt rated as one of the most talented defenders City and Bayern are most likely going to make a bid.
Thanks GIO four seasons with ups and downs but 5 trophees including the title! Now both sides can move on but first we want another cup and a great farewell of him and Van Persie !
Looks like that odious cretin Thierry Henry is going to be sacked as Monaco manager. Hopefully he never gets a single managerial or punditry role ever again.
There are Rumors about martial leaving... Chlesea and Seville are interested in him Tbh he needs to play regularly as the star of a team and as a striker of course So maybe in a different team that would happen...
Martial signs a new contract that's great news for us The future looks great And I was mistaken haha we had a draw at the end! Lol I thought we lost...
Disappointing to see Atletico Madrid repeatedly fail to capitalise on Barcelona dropping points. Barca have 51 points from a possible 69. At this stage of a Spanish domestic season that should be enough for a team like Atletico Madrid to usurp them. It's still an admirable job Simeone is doing, and his loyalty to them is something to be lauded, but I can't help but feel disappointed that the owners haven't invested more in the team to really put an end to Barca and Real's dominance and finally gain that coveted Champions League trophy. Sadly, I feel their window of opportunity may be fading even with Real struggling without Ronaldo, and with the likes of Messi, Modric and Rakitic aging. After all Diego Godin is off in the summer, Antoine Griezmann may want to pursue a new challenge in England or back home with PSG, and of course Simeone will only remain loyal for so long. There will likely be a job vacancy at Chelsea in the summer, if not at Man Utd and Spurs too.
I don't want to be a downer because they're a likeable team with a likeable manager but I just want to see them finally rewarded with a CL trophy and another domestic trophy for Simeone.
It's remarkable the job he has done considering Atletico Madrid can't get away with financial doping like half the teams in the Premier League, and PSG.
On a more optimistic note, I've heard Napoli are going to invest 200m in their squad during the summer in a bid to finally end Juventus's mind numbing dominance of Serie A.
Marek Hamsik will likely leave for China and Allan is still being linked with PSG, so they will be financially compensated adequately in the event of those two outgoings. Personally, I've always questioned if Hamsik is truly good enough for a team that wants to win trophies. He has been pretty poor any time I've watched them in Europe. A bit like Daniele De Rossi at Roma. Another one-club man, a likeable personality, and a quality player, but just doesn't have that added finesse needed for a team to compete at the very highest echelons.
juventus are in huge trouble cr7 might lose his chance to win the ucl 4 time in a row (is it 4 or 3 ?) i also hope united can overcome their failure against psg...
Arsenal lost to Rennes in the Europa League. Need at least two at home to qualify. I'd say they'll come back, but if they don't it will perhaps increase the pressure on Emery.
Hollander i hope you are not mad but i'm supporting ajax on this ! it will be very special to see them at semi final or at final ! amazing team that play with young and ambitious player it's nice to see

Ha..I don't mind they have a great team. To be honest we are pretty jealous.
i also really hope you qualify for the ucl so and that rvp will play another season
I now think he will def retire, we are terrible losing 3-2 against Willem II @home and the future doesn't look good. No european football would be a disaster.
i wonder what big transfer we might see in the summer hazard and eriksen to real ? icardi to united ? marcelo to juventus ? interesting summer it will be...
they say barca are interested in rashford i hope he stays if we have martial pogba lingard and rashford and good defense we can compete against all the big teams
That was a good performance by Ajax, they are going through 2-2 would be enough in Turin. Johan Cruyff always said it's still possible for a dutch club to be at the top in Europe.
Matthijs de Ligt and FC Barcelona have virtually agreed on a collaboration for the next five years. SPORT reports this on Saturday in Spain. De Ligt can sign a contract in Barcelona until 2024 and start earning as much as Frenkie de Jong.
seems like pogba won't stay i hope we reach an agreement with herrera and we will bring some decent midfielder to fill pogba's place or maybe he will stay who knows...
I just watched it most United fans would be fine with it they do not want to see Liverpool as the champions, This will be decided on the final day but I stick with the Reds. United must rebuild with young English talents.

yes i agree we must build a team for couple of years and then we should run for the top spot in the league and in the ucl the club have to announce it so that the fans will know that it's going to be a long process
i wonder what striker barca will buy in the summer i really think that it's going to be interesting to see griezmann there or even neymar back... or maybe even both of them (but i guess that it will only happen if coutinho will leave or malcom)

Feyenoord has to do the same thing otherwise the gap with Ajax and PSV will be huge. Van Persie will play his final game against ADO Den Haag on 12 May.
yeah no doubt and maybe even better... but when you have so much offers from so many top clubs with better teams and who are going to the ucl it's hard to attract him, and not only him, more players i wish we will get sancho and de ligt and also another young and english defensive midfielder then we can rebuild...
The Dutch team has a great future with the guys from ajax and liverpool we just need more power in front. In todays football you need three strong forwards.
Unbelievable how can you give away 3-0 after what happened yesterday? Kudos to Ajax but the tears over there I don't mind. In the weekend they play Utrecht who smell blood now.
herrera goes to psg well i'll miss him an hard working player who really seems like a part of the club (for me ) him and mata were so great together in the first few seasons good luck to him !
griezmann to barca should be interesting they should icardi too they should play like that messi as no 10 griezmann as right winger dembele at left wing and icardi striker
On Monday afternoon Aston Villa and Derby County, the numbers five and six of the last season in the Championship, compete for promotion to the Premier League. The final of the play-offs is known as the most lucrative football match in the world: at least 193 million euros is at stake, as the English media calculated in recent weeks. For many involved players, the final is the biggest match in their career so far.
John Terry is assistant manager at Villa, Frank Lampard is manager of Derby and Ashley Cole is a player for Derby. Three Chelsea and England legends. So it has added spice.
Richard Keogh turns 33 in August so it could be his last chance to go up with Derby after so many close calls. It was his mistake that blew Derby's chances in the Playoff final in 2014 against QPR so it could be a nice story of redemption for him if Derby succeed.
The Playoff semi finals were thrilling affairs so my prediction for this one is naturally a 0-0 draw and penalties.
I'm rooting for Villa.
Barcelona lost the Copa Del Rey final against Valencia today. Can't see Ernesto Valverde lasting much longer as manager for them. Both Real Madrid and Barca need a huge rebuild this summer. Could be an opportunity for Atletico Madrid to take advantage next season but they're losing Antoine Griezmann and Diego Godin. Hopefully they can invest the money they get for Griezmann very wisely. I personally feel Griezmann is a bit overrated anyway.
Matthijs de Ligt is 'moving away' from Barcelona , reports the Spanish radio program Sin Concesiones on Monday evening. The defender of Ajax listens to other offers, now that an agreement with the superpower from Spain remains far away. According to journalist Marçal Lorente of the radio program, Barcelona believes that De Ligt has become unaffordable.
After a long search, Newcastle United seems to get a new owner. Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan, cousin of Manchester City owner Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, tells Sky Sports that he has reached agreement with current owner Mike Ashley to take over the Premier League club for 396 million euros. Newcastle has not yet issued a statement about the impending sale.

this is going to make the premier league the new elite league ! the pl club are the richest and in a few they are going to rule the all football everyone will want to join them this is going to be nice i love english football
Juventus has placed an offer of 85 million euros for Matthijs de Ligt, reports Tuttosport on Sunday evening. The Italian sports newspaper states that Juventus is definitively taking part in the battle with clubs such as Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. It is unclear whether Ajax has responded to Juventus' bid.
icardi to united ? he is an amazing striker since rvp no one has been good at the st position although i think martial will be a world class st he should play as st and not lw we also need a cb and rb
i just can't stop imaging barca with both neymar and griezmann best attacking team ever ! suarez as st messi cam griezmann right wing neymar on the left wing wow !!!!!!!!!!!!
i just can't stop thinking about both griezmann and neymar in barca for sure the strongest attack in football ever !!!!
I've always thought Griezmann was a bit overrated. And how could you fit both of them, along with Messi, into the same team? Who tracks back?
Neymar has too much baggage and is becoming increasingly injury prone. He'd be a waste of money IMO.
barca always was an attacking team i guess they will have to get a cb too and the midfielders will have to do a lot of defensive work i think we will see messi on the right wing neymar on the left and suarez as st grizemann as cam or st too
Feyenoord in talks with American Investors Posted By Admin On July 21st, 2019 10:41 PM | Eredivisie, News According to Algemeen Dagblad, Feyenoord are in serious talks with an American investment company, who want to help the club bridge the gap to PSV and Ajax.
AD are reporting that Feyenoord’s management are currently in talks with an American group who want to become minority shareholders in the club.
The millions that they invest would help Feyenoord get on an equal footing with Ajax and PSV Eindhoven and challenge for the Eredivisie title.
Toon van Bodegom, the president of Feyenoord, would welcome the investment and is willing to give the Americans a lot of say in how the club is run, from the player recruitment to new managers.
A source close to the deal told AD, “The Americans want control on all fronts,â€
Van Bodegom is also hopeful that the Americans would help convince Robert Eenhoorn of AZ to take the General Manager role with the club. Jan de Jong left the position earlier this week because of disagreements over the plans.
A deal is not completed yet but all parties are enthusiastic about the outcome.
Is Hollander a Feyenoord fan? They signed Liam Kelly, who's declared for Ireland since he's too shit to play for England. Second "Irishman" to play for Feyenoord after David Connolly. Jaap Stam signed him due to their mutual association with Reading.

Haha..you´re right Moe. I loved Connolly so I will give Kelly a chance. Both are small sized but I trust Stam.
Frenkie is already a star at Barca. The heir to Sergio Busquets seems much more mature in personality than his age suggests, both on and off the field.

i think he is more of an a offensive player then sergio and more of a playmaker
Yes we got our new center back George Johnston, 20, from Liverpool youth. He's pretty highly rated I read, thanks to Kuyt's network over there. Welcome in Rotterdam George !
So, it looks like Bale is staying at Real Madrid, Neymar is staying at PSG, Pogba is staying at Man Utd, Dybala is staying at Juventus, and Sane is staying at Man City.
I think Bale could still be useful for Real Madrid, but his relationship with the club appears broken beyond all repair.
Bayern Munich could've done with a player like Sane. They appear too weak to challenge for the Champions League, and so do Real Madrid for that matter.
Hopefully, for PSG's sake, Neymar will get his head in the right place, but it appears unlikely.
Feyenoord will present Marcos Senesi next week. The 22-year-old defender has been a great talent in Argentina for many years and is one of the pillars of San Lorenzo.
Feyenoord is still looking for a new striker, they want Ignacio Jeraldino. He is a 23-year-old Chilean who made a good impression last season. At Audax Italiano La Florida, he scored nine times in 18 games and delivered three assists.
Virgil van Dijk has been named UEFA Men's Player of the Year, beating Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. HE is the first Dutch player to be selected by UEFA as the European Footballer of the Year. Marco van Basten, Ruud Gullit and Johan Cruijff did win the Ballon d'Or, which is organized by France Football. The UEFA award has been awarded since 2011.
Hey Meyer, Allegri is keen to replace Solskjaer, what do you think? I just think the manager isn't the problem, but I don't know how to fix the crisis. Feyenoord also plays poor this season but maybe the can do it tomorrow against FC Porto.
You guys play AZ who have a great season so far and a lot of attacking talent.

yeah buddy i 100% agree with you it's more then just the manager both van gaal and mourinho failed
100% !!! blind was one of our bests players over the years when van gaal put him and smalling as our cb we had great defense they should let van gaal another season he would have buy more attacking players and things would be different today...
Not much, but I don't think he will go to Man U. He's at Leipzig the club of Red Bull they have enough money to keep him there and they are very ambitious.
Great comeback in the last ten minutes Memphis is getting better each match in the Dutch team. I don't see any problems now Oranje will qualify for the EC, finally.
Same here against Young Boys, hopefully our hooligans behave in Switzerland. The Europa League has become more entertaining this year with many big clubs.

Liam Kelly not getting anywhere Feyenoord's first team. It would disappoint me more if he was Irish born and not an English born player declaring for Ireland because he's too shit to play for England.
Mohamed Ihattaren has announced that he will play for the Dutch national team. The seventeen-year-old PSV midfielder saw the light of day in Utrecht and is a youth international of the Netherlands, but also has a Moroccan passport.
"I thought about it for a long time and consulted a lot with my family. In the end we came to the decision to opt for the Dutch national team," says Ihattaren on the KNVB website about his choice. "They have done a lot for me in the representative youth teams, I went through everything there and that makes it difficult to leave. Since the age of 14 I have been playing in the Orange and I have won the European Championship with Under-17. It's great that I can continue that. "
Poor game 0-0 but we are back at the European Championship next year !
Ronald Koeman not a big fan of the way Northern Ireland play. He'd probably commit seppuku if he had to play Republic of Ireland.
TBH I'd be very worried if Ireland were drawn against Northern Ireland in the playoffs. Ireland are obviously the better team on paper but the Northern Ireland manager has them well set up and I reckon they'd have the beating of us.
Ireland won't need to worry about the playoffs if we beat Denmark tomorrow but I have absolutely no faith in that happening.
I see the Irishman at Feyenoord hasn't played in several months. I read a few articles where Dutch journalists were criticising his signing. I did think it was a very strange move from the beginning.
I wouldn't mind more Irish players playing in countries like Holland, though. Jack Byrne did well at Cambuur and Daniel Crowley at Willem II.
Pity Irish players can't see beyond the UK when it comes to making a living from football.
Yeah pretty weird, because we do have plenty of Irish expats in Holland, but the footballers still rather go to the UK. I believe the Eredivisie would be a great platform for Irish players as a step before they maybe go to bigger clubs.
I think Liam Kelly came at the wrong time we still haven't found the right balance on the midfield and we are almost halfway the season. The fans are mostly make fun of his height, but after a few matches in the beginning he hasn't played much. But I won't write him off just yet.
It's amazing a year ago the dutch attack was our Achilles heel, now we have Wijnaldum, Memphis, Malen, Van der Beek, Bergwijn, Promes, Babel, Stengs, Boadu, Berghuis, Luuk de Jong, Weghorst, Ihattaren, Kluivert, Dilrosun.

Hollander, I have a bet on Espanyol and Rangers to beat Ferencvaros and Feyenoord in the Europa League. What do you make of Feyenoord's chances?
I feel Steven Gerrard has made Rangers a quite formidable force in Europe again and Alfredo Morelos always looks likely to score at this level, whereas Feyenoord have been pretty woeful up to know and have been destabilised by Stam's sacking.
Is Advocaat going to make them hard to beat again?
I also think Rangers will beat us, Feyenoord has a lot of injuries we have to do something in the upcoming winter transfer window. With Dickie defensely we will be alright, but we just miss quality overall. The good news our new Technical Director is Frank Arnesen who did a good job with youth and scouting at PSV, Spurs and Chelsea.
Hey Meyer I heard United is interested in Hakim Ziyech would a great addition IMO.
i wish !!!! he is an amazing player literally like on top 5 playmakers in the world but if i need to be honest then he should really join liverpool or city or any other teams because as we all see every player that join us is bad (sanchez maguire lukaku bastian smalling depay) and they all successful after they leave...
Juventus lose 3-1 to Lazio. Inter are now two points above Juve and Lazio are just three points behind Juve with a much superior goal difference. It looks like there may actually be a title race this year.
Juventus, and CR7 especially, will want to break their Champions League duck as well so there's a possibility Juve focusing on that will play into Inter's hands. I can't see Inter doing much in the Champions League, though Lautaro Martinez is a possible ace in the deck.
I'm rooting for Inter with Stefan de Vrij, I think he's at the same level as De Ligt and Van Dijk he has been for years also, one of the best in the WC in 2014.

de Vrij played in 2014 wc ?! what a great tournament you guys had ! rvp was brilliant !
holla do you remember almiron ? he use to play for you guys now he plays for newcastle i watched him today in our game against them he was one of the best players when you guys won the championship...
I watched the match. You confuse him with someone else Meyer he never played in Holland. Speaking of South Americans watch Luis Sinisterra a winger at Feyenoord a Colombian with great technical skills and also our Marcos Senesi an Argentinian defender both have a great future. Dickie Advocaat is doing great btw undefeated in the league since he took over.
Meyer, Daley Blind has an inflamed heart muscle and now has a preventive 'pacemaker' he's out indefinitely. Ajax already lost Nouri to heart problems last year.

yes i heard it's so sad i loved him so much he was one of our best players all those years he played he always give everything for the team
Matt Doherty with an excellent goal to win Wolves the game against Man City.
It's amazing, and infuriating, that he only has 9 International caps for Ireland despite turning 28 next month.
A good few Irish players surpassing themselves in the PL this season. It's just a pity John Egan, Matt Doherty and Enda Stevens are 27, 28 and 29 respectively. If they were all a few years younger you would expect them to eventually get moves to bigger clubs.
Four Irish teenage strikers featuring for PL clubs so far this season in Adam Idah, Michael Obafemi, Troy Parrott and Aaron Connolly.
Surely one of them will come good and take the mantle from Robbie Keane?
Stefan de Vrij (27) may make an impressive transfer in 2020. The Spanish medium Don Balón writes that FC Barcelona is still interested in Internazionale's defender.
FC Barcelona has long been dissatisfied with the occupation of the rear. Due to injuries, age restrictions and in certain cases a lack of quality, the Catalan top club wants to attract a new defender. De Vrij's name is clearly circulating in Camp Nou.
De Vrij, who was active with Inter in the same Champions League group, would have been in sight since his Feyenoord period. It is known that Spain's number one has often considered to go ahead, but for the time being it has never happened.
Nothing is known about a possible transfer fee. It is also unclear whether Barcelona wants to strike in January or only in the summer, after the European Championship, wants to pay millions down for a new defender.
we played so bad such a terrible performance from us we need a playmaker and a defensive midfielders as soon as possible
Looked like the team was hung over from New yrs eve.
haha no they look like this for years lol since 2013 when sir alex retired
But still able to win the FA Cup and Europa League. You guys need Ziyech I know there have been contacts, but he only want to leave ajax in the summer.

with Ziyech and pogba stays and some defensive midlfilder and another cb maybe and a back striker then we can compete for everything
What a season the reds have, by far best team in the world.
what reds? liverpool?
Yep, an amazing team 22 PL games 21 wins one draw that's amazing ! In between winning the club world cup. The way they play is also great they love to attack.
BeNeLiga another step closer A joint competition for Netherlands and Belgium is taking increasingly serious forms. In the coming months, a concrete proposal will be worked out for the new BeNeLiga to be formed. Representatives of eleven clubs in the Netherlands and Belgium, the two unions and the Eredivisie CV decided this on Thursday in Eindhoven. Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV, FC Utrecht, Vitesse, and AZ Alkmaar are involve in this initiative on behalf of the Netherlands. From Belgium AA Gent, Club Brugge, KRC Genk, Anderlecht and Standard Luik lead the way.

What are your opinions on this, Hollander?
In Ireland, there are discussions taking place between teams north and south of the border regarding the formulation of an all Ireland league.
And of course, Celtic and Rangers have continually being linked with an integration into the English Premier League.
At first I wasn't a fan of the Beneliga, but a study showed it's better for us both sporty and financially. Both countries did already organize Euro 2000 so I think it wouldn't be a problem with Uefa. We would see more interesting matches every week like Ajax - Anderlecht, Club Brugge - Feyenoord and PSV - Standard Luik.
Manchester City have been banned from the Champions League for two seasons for committing serious breaches of Financial Fair Play rules.
The reigning Premier League champions have been hit with a two-season ban and fined €30 million by UEFA in a remarkable ruling.
The ban means City will miss the 2020/21 and 2021/22 editions of a competition that they are desperate to win.
They are expected to appeal the ban.
City said in a statement on their website: “Manchester City is disappointed but not surprised by today’s announcement by the UEFA Adjudicatory Chamber.
Ron Jans: I want to go back to the country where I can be myself..
I know this guy since the early 80s I can't believe he said the things they accuse him of. It's a shame they can ruin the reputation of a respected guy in Dutch Football for decades.
Euro 2020 playoffs set to be postponed. Euro 2020 could follow. La Liga and Serie A suspended for a fortnight and a month respectively.
It'll be interesting to see what happens. This season could be cancelled altogether in a lot of countries. The Euros mightn't take place until next year.
It would be a logistical nightmare trying to rearrange so many games and still fit in the Euros afterwards.
Many dutch clubs will get in financial troubles, Feyenoord is cutting in player salaries. However it looks like in Germany they continue the bundesliga season on May 22, if the government allows it.
Well the German government just officially gave the green light. It's up to the football federation as to when to resume the games. Most likely on the 15th of May.
The Serie A in Italy is far from free of the coronavirus. Fiorentina announced that six people, including three players, are infected. According to the protocol, the infected persons have been quarantined. The rest of the players will return to the club on Friday to undergo medical tests and get back on the field. The news comes at a time when Italian football, like the Bundesliga, is thinking of a restart.
Messi have to leave ! Barca are in huge decline And they need long time to rebuild He need to move on To a different club to make good time in is final years ( he is 33)
8-2 what a humiliation ! Barca have waited to long to replace players now they have to rebuild which will take some years. Now watching Lyon - City half time 1-0 Lyon!!
Leeds at Liverpool tomorrow. Is Leeds' return to the EPL a big deal, or are they just another club trying to stay up next year?
They are good They have good manager + they bought some Good quality players Imo they can finish somewhere between 10 or 12 place So i don't think they are gonna fight relegation

In the world of the Firms it is a big deal. At the height of hooliganism, the Service Crew made a name for themselves as one of the most savage firms in Britain.
Thanks, I'm pretty excited about this season (if corona stays away from the pitches?), but Feyenoord made some interesting moves with Bozenik, Conteh, Teixeira, Diemers and Spajic.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKInZGOqcZ4 amazing player !!! i can't wait to see spurs this season with bale arrival they are going to kill the league !!! i'm really going to follow them this season
The level of our game is not yet what it should be but in Holland we haven't played since early march so that takes a while but at least we get the points. We have a new tough central defender Uros Spajic.
Should be a great season Meyer and Amad Diallo is coming to Feyenoord he's gonna work with Van Persie!
i'm excited ! this year we might win the league... how about you guys ? do you have the chance of winning the league ?? ajax and psv are tought to beat and you guys sold that winger of your's too i hope you guys will fight hard to win something this year too buddy !

It's a whole new team with a new coach we are in a building process so expectations for this year are not too high top 3 would be great and a good run in the new Conference League hopefully and the Cup is always our aim.

lukaku is great too chelsea with him will fight for the title till the end imo they look great on the other end city with no striker are going to have a lot of problems in terms of goal scoring
Hey holla I wonder who ralf is going to buy in january I also hope that he will improve mason greenwood and make Him a world class striker ! Also this year everything can happen in eredivise I really hope you guys can win the league !
We never expected to be a contender already, feyenoord plays now in a cup match agains fc twente. Sunday against ajax in the league!

Hollander yeah he's a great player - I think he'll be a great addition to your team.
Out of the teams that I'm following (Milan and Arsenal) both are doing OK... it was a tough weekend in Milan though but we've got UCL tomorrow vs Newcastle. Time to show Tonali what he's missing

Luka was the missing link in our team we already played good football but now it's even better very happy with him and we got him for a good price. three hours to go very excited!
Watching Milan's game yesterday was very frustrating... so many good chances but none scored. I saw the stats for Feyenoord and it seems like there was a ton of action there.
Perisic also injured... he'll need surgery for his ACL. That's Orsic, Ivanusec and Perisic all out within the first month of the season (Orsic even before the season).
Hollander are there any news about Ivanusec? Other than a rolled ankle I can't find much on Croatian sites.
I just saw the video - I guess those are Ajax fans? What was the game like when it stopped? Did Ajax really play that terrible that the fans decided to stop the game?

The F-Side (ajax hooligans) planned it they are unhappy with the leadership of the club. We played again on Wednesday en we won the match 0-4 big win!
Snoop Dogg posted this pic on Sunday Haha ! Class Act !
Sweden players refused to play the 2nd half vs Belgium due to 2 Swedish fans being killed in Belgium... as far as I saw it wasn't confirmed they got killed because of football only but if they did... that's definitely way too far. Similar situation happened in Greece this summer as well with AEK and Dinamo Zagreb hooligans.

I believe Swedes were targeted because of recent Quran burnings in the country.
On a positive note the Dutch will be at the European Championship in Germany in June.
We had terrible 2 games in the last week... Friday vs Turkey and Sunday vs Wales.
The problem is that our national head coach is not changing up the rotation and the strategy based on our current squad... Perisic is out, we have no real striker, a lot of our players aren't currently performing up to their level in their clubs.
Now we depend on Wales. If Wales loses or draws 1 of the games next month, and we win both, we're good. If both of us win both games, Wales is 2nd because we drew with them the first game and they won the second game.
It's really baffling to me that we were struggling so hard last week, we have players that are a way better caliber than how they played. Especially vs Wales, our team was absolutely terrible.
It's history! After two failed World Cup qualifiers in the 2018 and 2022 editions, Italy returns to qualify for the group stage of an international competition. Thanks to the 0-0 draw just obtained at the BayArena in Leverkusen against Ukraine, Luciano Spalletti's Azzurri enter as runners-up in the qualifying group for the Euro 2024 group stage.
With 14 points behind England (20) and on equal points with Ukraine, Italy gains access thanks to the direct clash with the Ukrainians, having won the first leg match 2-1 at the Meazza in Milan.
Hey Hollander, sorry took a bit of a break from this forum! Busy with work.
I'm personally not that familiar with him as he plays in Serbia; I follow Croatian league but not so much Serbian and Croatian teams don't often play with Serbian teams.
On another note, big win for Milan yesterday! We have to focus on Europea League and Scudetto (which will be very hard to win), but we can do our best; I believe Milan with a bit of restructuring can be right behind Inter in the league.
