2017 Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball (Draft)

It's that time of year again!

Invitations have been sent out to last year's league and it looks like everyone's back in. If you don't wish to return then please let me know. Also, if you want to play and didn't play last year, let me know ASAP and I'll put you on a waiting list.

The season begins Sunday, April 2nd, so I'd like to schedule the draft a week or two before that.

Any day except next Tuesday is OK with me. I actually forgot to draft last year. .....Not that it mattered.

No, but I'll be in Vegas in a couple of weeks.

Below is this year's draft order:


To set the order, I went through the following steps:

1 - I went to http://www.random.org/, DB's favorite random order generator website

2 - Using "Integer Generator" to pick a number between 1 and 20, I got:


3 - I went to "List Randomizer" and input our list of owners (list from top to bottom per what I saw under "Managers" in Yahoo.)

4 - This list of owners was randomized 7 times to get to a final list which is our draft order:



So there you have your draft order.

I'm happy. I was able to accomplish what I normally do, that always works well in this league.

I'm not thrilled at all, but should accomplish what I normally do. lol

During my 20 years of playing Fantasy Baseball, I've learned at least one (two-part) thing: Never own a Yankees pitcher, nor expect anything against them.

I usually find a gem or two on the waiver wire in April, but what Eric Thames is doing is just plain ridiculous. He's hitting .380 and is in double digits in HR's already. I think he has the April HR record with a week still left. He did this in Korea, but he's making MLB pitchers look like Little Leaguers.

Congrats to the 1st and 2nd Place winners. I wasn't able to overcome injuries and suspensions this year.
