Where was USA soccer before they hired him?

Outside of a few standout players and some ringers (that they used tricks to make citizens rapidly so they could play) USA soccer just doesn't have the talent pool to be a major player.

None of the best athletes play soccer exclusively because there is no money in it here.

Klinnesmann can see the big picture. But he missed the small coaching points that get you there.

You see a player making the same mistake over and over again. All it would take is a small coaching point to stop the same mistake from happen. He and his staff don't make them.

He had a striker that had massive quads, but you have to bring up the hams and the gluts to keep them from breaking down. Any experienced trainer could have fixed that, but no so they get hurt. It is just stupid.
